"Are you feeling sleepy?" Mafuyu asked, seeing her girlfriend tiredly rub her eyes and yawn.
"Mhmm, but I need to compose..." Kanade mumbled. Mafuyu pulled her onto the couch, and placed Kanade's head on her lap.
"Forget about composing. Just sleep for now." Mafuyu said and started stroking Kanade's hair. It was something she had found out recently, Kanade liked it when someone else pet her head or touched her hair. Mafuyu liked it too, Kanade's hair felt like silk and it was quite soothing.
Kanade's breath evened out as she was fast asleep. Mafuyu kept on stroking Kanade's hair, when her phone started ringing. It was her classmate.
"Ah, Takahashi. Is there anything you need? It's an awfully late time to be calling." Mafuyu asked, immediately putting on her 'good girl' persona.
"I'm so sorry Asahina! I was totally asleep during class and I didn't hear the teacher giving us homework! You know it, right? Can you tell me?" Mafuyu felt her composure falling as she acted the 'good girl' again.
"Of course! It's-" Mafuyu was about to talk when Kanade shuffled in her lap, snuggling into Mafuyu. Mafuyu realized she had stopped stroking Kanade's hair.
"Sorry, Takahashi. Can we do this through text? My cat is sleeping and I don't want to bother her right now." Mafuyu asked.
"Oh, of course Asahina! I'm sorry for calling at such a late time! I didn't know you had a cat, I'll leave you to be with her!" Her classmate hung up and Mafuyu tiredly laid onto the couch, snuggling next to Kanade. Kanade's eyes fluttered open.
"Hmm... Mafuyu? Are you okay?" Kanade asked, noticing something was wrong.
"I just need to hug you. Then I'll get better." Mafuyu whispered, and Kanade nodded and hugged her.
"Of course, whatever you want..." Kanade quickly fell asleep again. Mafuyu buried her face in Kanade's shoulder.
"My little kitten."
