There is a price tag for everything.
Now Kanade is paying the price for not listening to Mafuyu.
"Mafuyu, I told you I'm fine..." Kanade said as she tried to escape from Mafuyu's grasp.
"No. You've been composing even when I told you to rest. Your body is probably exhausted. You're taking a break now." Mafuyu said, holding Kanade tighter in her arms. Kanade tried to get away, but god was her girlfriend strong.
"Can I at least go get some water? I'm a bit thirsty..." Kanade asked. Her stomach growled.
"I doubt you're just thirsty. I'll make you something to eat, you should take a nap." Mafuyu said as she walked to the kitchen. Kanade seized the moment to run back to her desk and compose again.
"Okay, I just need to-" Kanade was about to start composing when a hand flew to her shoulder, stopping her. Kanade froze for a moment.
"What do you think you're doing?" Mafuyu asked, her tone dangerous. Kanade now knew why Ena and Mizuki were scared of Mafuyu.
"Uh- I..." Kanade tried to defend herself, before looking at the ground like a pathetic kitten.
"I'm sorry..." Kanade whispered. Mafuyu just couldn't stay angry at her, especially when she looked like a kitten in the rain.
"You need to learn to take care of yourself..." Mafuyu sighed and lifted her girlfriend up, taking her to the kitchen.
"Eat some stew, Mochizuki made it for you. After that, we're going to sleep." Mafuyu said. Kanade felt hungry once she saw the food in front of her. She scarfed it down quickly and even had some fruit. Mafuyu carried her back to her room, and plopped onto the bed together.
"Sleep." Mafuyu commanded, hugging Kanade tight.
"You want me to sleep like this?" Kanade asked, feeling a little embarrassed.
"If I leave, you'll just compose." Mafuyu said simply and Kanade groaned. She was right.
"Go to sleep, Kanade. Don't punish yourself like this." Mafuyu said, and started softly singing to her. Kanade felt her eyelids close.
"Hmm... I love you, Yuki..." Kanade mumbled.
"I love you too, K."
