Tweek and Craig: A Chronology and Canon Guide

Summary:

So I recently reread Semantically Challenged and rewatched South Park therefore I was inspired to make this 5K long essay about Craig and Tweek. Especially even now that Craig and Tweek are the best canon gay pair I have seen in media. So I needed to share my love of them.

Notes:

This is a lover letter to the ship, the fandom, and the Fic that made me love it so much. That’s why I’m gifting it to the writer that wrote Semantically Challenged.

Chapter 1: Introduction

Chapter Text

Hello! I’m Rainbow and I recently fell back into South Park after I rewatched the whole show including the paramount specials and I felt very nostalgic for the pairing of Craig and Tweek. And I wanted to not only explain all the changes in their relationship throughout the years but also why besides the romantic pairing they both are two of my favorite characters. I also in general want a timeline so everyone can see the adorable relationship the two of them have. And in general to help any writers with getting the lore correct.

Fair warning, I wouldn’t say I’m the number one South Park fan so it’s very likely some side content I will miss if it’s not part of the overarching story. Also known as the actual show and the two games that are connected to certain episodes chronologically.
Overall, this is a love letter to unironically the best gay canon couple I have seen. And how both characters changed for the better because of it. It’s also a guide in general for the two of them.

The next chapter will talk about Craig as a character, followed by a chapter just about Tweek. Then we will look at the three episodes that involved the two of them. Tweek Vs Craig, Tweek X Craig, and Put it Down. Then we will look at the Tweek and Craig story in Fractured But Whole. Then a chapter about the minor appearances in episodes. Then a chapter about common accepted fanon and finally the last chapter about why the pairing works. Now let’s get started!
