Work Text:
It’s early spring in Anakt High School. Leaves and flowers slowly growing back, the weather warming, and a certain blonde straight A student falling head over heels for… Hyuna’s brother?
“Hey Luka!” Hyun-woo pants as he catches up to the blonde and smiles. Damn him, he’s so… annoying. Luka wishes he could wipe that smile off his face, that he could put him in detention, lock him in there alone- no, not that, he wouldn’t dare kiss that troublemaker.
“What do you want from me, I’m trying to get to class on time unlike you.”
“Aw, I just wanted to see how you are before you give me detention later, you’re my favorite person to get caught skipping by.”
Luka feels like he’s going to explode from that, his heart is pounding for no particular reason. Damnit, what is wrong with this guy, he keeps following Luka’s every step…
“You’re annoying.”
Hyun-woo smiles. Damn, that smile… NO! Luka does not have a crush on anyone, if he did, it would be Hyuna, not her brother. Nothing wrong with liking men, right? He just doesn’t like Hyun-woo like that, Hyuna is less of a troublemaker, and she’s far less interested in his life so things don’t get awkward when he thinks about her. He’s not blushing, he’s not into men, and he definitely ISN’T into Hyun-woo. Now he just has to convince Hyun-woo of that… and himself.
“Y-you’re worse.”
Damnit! Was that a stutter? Luka doesn’t stutter, he’s the cocky, stuck up nerd who’s way to obsessed with himself and doesn’t blush over anyone, especially not the tall, handsome man in front of him. The tall and handsome man that just poked his cheek, the handsome man that’s currently looking at him, the handsome man that looks like he’s going to kiss him…
Oh, what will Luka do? He’s not gay, he’s sure of that, he likes women, but…
Well, maybe Luka can spare himself in this situation. By running away like the coward he is.
…
“You left him there? Dude, you suck, he’s never going to like you if you don’t even talk to him!”
“I know! I regret it, I could have actually kissed a guy and I ruined it, trust me, I understand that.”
Luka’s currently talking to his friends for help. So far they have done nothing but embarrass him. It’s the middle of lunch and Hyun-woo is right over there, just a few tables away, sitting alone, oh, it would be so easy to fix that mess from earlier and go up to him and kiss him and sit in his arms and- NO! No, Luka wasn’t going to fantasise about him, not while the guy in question is walking up to him…
“You surprised I’m not skipping lunch or something? What are you guys talking about?”
Luka isn’t about to admit anything, since again, he’s an absolute coward. So what does he do? Switch topics in potentially the least subtle way possible.
“No. Anyways, is that sandwich good?”
“Yeah, why, you want a taste?”
Oh, damn, this was a chance. He has the chance to prove he wasn’t entirely a loser, a chance to prove he knew what he was doing.
“Uh, sure.”
Hyun-woo was holding up his food, it was actually a really sweet gesture, but Luka has no time to think about how adorable Hyun-woo is, he has to just do it. So, with extreme caution, Luka pulls Hyun-woo in for a kiss. Was it a dumb idea? Hell yeah. Luka can barely contain himself, if he wasn’t blushing so hard and in the middle of the cafeteria he would be far more bold, but in that moment none of that mattered.
“Hey, man, what the hell? A little warning next time?” Next time…? Next time means he could do it again. Next time means he liked it.
“Well you said I could have a taste…” Luka’s ability to come up with a good response was slowly being lost, no, very quickly being lost, and he feels like he’s going to pass out. At least if he did, he’d be in Hyun-woo’s arms. Damn, he was down bad.
