Work Text:
“Uh, where are you going?” Celina catches up to Tim and Lucy who are clearly in a hurry.
“Oh, home, I’ll see you there,” Lucy says not slowing down or looking back.
They’re out of the station before Celina can even say anything else.
“So, I’ll meet you at your place?” Lucy brushes her fingers alongside Tim’s hand as they’re almost to their cars.
“Yes, you will.” Tim smirks as he stops, reaching out to grab Lucy’s wrist causing her to stop and face him.
Before she can question what he’s doing, he pulls her in for another kiss. Another kiss they can barely get through without smiling at each other.
“Hate to break this up, but we’re running out of time,” Lucy says against his lips. Tim groans but know she’s right. He waits for her to get in her car before getting in his truck. She pulls out first and he’s right behind her.
They were able to get to his house in about 20 minutes and wasted no time getting in the door. Quickly kicking their shoes off, Tim shuts the front door before pushing Lucy up against it and immediately attaching himself to her lips again.
“Mmm.. April fools day is officially my favorite holiday,” Tim smirks against her lips.
“Mine too.” Her hands slide down from his chest to the waste band of his jeans eventually finding their way to his back pockets.
Pulling away from another kiss, he motions towards the bedroom and she gives him a small nod before biting her bottom lip and immediately gets walked backwards towards his bedroom.

“Well, it’s 12:01,” Lucy sighs as she turns over to face him in bed, still naked.
“Unfortunately.” He closes his eyes, almost like he’s trying to freeze time and the bubble they were in.
“You know, we could keep pretending.” She can immediately see the confusion on his face. “Just until the Sergeants exam, and then hopefully we won’t have to anymore.” She raises an eyebrow with a growing grin.
“I think I could work with that,” he smiles before leaning over to give her another kiss.
Lucy knew she should get home so Celina wouldn’t get even more suspicious, but she really didn’t want to leave the warmth and comfort of Tim.
“You should stay tonight,” Tim gives her a begging look. “It’s late after all.”
“Is that the only reason you think I should stay? Because it’s late?” She rolls her eyes, but Tim knows it’s lighthearted.
“If you must know, I would like to lay here all night with you and wake you up with kisses all over your body.”
“As amazing as that sounds, I should probably go home. Today was fun but I don’t want Celina to get the wrong idea and go and open her mouth to someone.”
“Only a couple more weeks and then we don’t have to worry about that,” Tim reassures but then quickly backtracks. “That is, of course if you’re ready by then.”
She can sense his sudden worry so she takes her arm out from under the covers and reaches over to interlace her hand with his.
She takes a deep breath before offering a reassuring smile. “Keep doing what you’re doing and I think I’ll be ready.” She gives his hand a squeeze before letting go.
“I can do that.” He smiles, “How are you feeling after today?”
“I’m good, a little sore. But I definitely don’t regret it. You?” She turns back to him as she’s now sitting on the edge of the bed putting her clothes back on.
“Well, good. I don’t regret it either. But I meant from fighting all of those people. I saw you got hit hard a few times.”
“Yeah, I’m sure I’ll be sore and bruised tomorrow but nothing some Tylenol and a hot bath can’t fix.”
“You know, I have a bigger tub than you have at the apartment,” he wiggles his eyebrows smirking.
She shakes her head but knows he’s right. “Well maybe, if you play your cards right, I’ll come up with an excuse to tell Celina and come over again after work.”
“Just tell her to mind her business.” Tim shrugs as he now is sitting up himself getting clothes on so he can walk her out.
“Hopefully we won’t have to do this for much longer and we can just tell her,” Lucy reaches down to put her shoes on. “I thought Grey was going to kill us today.”
“Yeah, and then I thought we killed him.” Tim jokes.
As Lucy goes to walk out of his bedroom, he grabs her hand stopping her. She turns back to look at him and she can’t resist the look in his eyes. The look of so much love.
She’s supposed to be on her way home but she can’t resist kissing him some more.
“Mmm, you sure you have to go home?” Tim asks against her lips before kissing her again.
“Yes,” he now has moved to kissing her neck, again. “Tiiiim, you know I can’t resist you when you do that.”
“Exactly,” he smiles against her skin before continuing to kiss her neck, then moving to her bare shoulder.
Despite the strong urge to let him keep going, she puts her hands on both of his shoulders and pushes him off of her.
“Okay, I seriously need to get home. I’ll see you tomorrow and we can pretend again.” She winks and gives him a smile before opening the door.
“Looking forward to it,” he returns the smile. The smile he has that’s only reserved for her.
“Good night, Tim,” she steps outside and he stands in the entry way.
“Good night, Luce.” He watches her get in her car and drive away before closing the door and turning the light off.
Kojo comes trotting over to him. He leans down to give his ears a scratch. The dog starts whimpering and Tim knows exactly why.
“I know bud. I’m working on it. Hopefully soon mom will be home with us all the time.”
