Work Text:
The red lights outside his window lull Charlie to sleep every night. His music sends him back in time. And in sleep is where he gets to see him.
In his dreams is where they dance, drink and laugh.
Sometimes he whispers dreamy things in his ear.
Sometimes he holds him tight enough to feel real.
Sometimes he scares him.
It’s like he doesn’t want to let Charlie go. Like the shadows are fighting to tell him something, to keep him there.
He tries to stop, tries to run but even when he’s awake he can feel his shadows everywhere.
