Notes:

I wrote this so long ago and never finished it, but I think it's pretty sweet? idk. I thought it was kinda cute

Work Text:

Eddie had been waiting for Buck to get home for several hours now, and was not able to get ahold of him whatsoever. Eddie had literally called him and texted him on every single app they had each other on, and none of them were successful. What the actual fuck.

Suddenly, the door made noise, and Buck came in, walking slowly into the house. Eddie came from around the counter, spooking Buck. “Oh, hey baby!” Buck smiled, and Eddie just crossed his arms in front of him. Buck made an awkward sound. “Where have you been?” Eddie asked, looking at him suspiciously.

Buck sort of held his chest, and Eddie was quick to eye him. “Uh,” Buck coughed. “No where…”

“What are you doing?”

“Nothing?”

“Are you having a heart attack?”

“No!”

Eddie rolled his eyes, huffing at him. “I literally cooked dinner for you tonight just for you to not come home, and weren’t answering my calls. I sure hope you have a good excuse.”

Buck just tried to kiss him sorry, but Eddie sort of pushed his face away. “Bae, seriously? I’m sorry.” Buck whined, trying to pull Eddie close to him. “My phone died.” Buck added.

“Oh.” Eddie said flatly. “Well, where were you?”

“At the tattoo shop.”

“What?”

“What?”

Eddie’s eyebrows furrowed. “You got a tattoo?”

Buck chuckled nervously. “Possibly…okay yes, I did. But it’s not just a tattoo.” Buck smiled, taking off his sweater slowly. Eddie just watched him. Then Buck took off his shirt, revealing an E tattoo on his chest.

“You’re kidding.” Eddie said.

“Absolutely not. You don’t understand, it was a need.” Buck smiled happily. Eddie just shook his head as he took a step closer to Buck, looking at the tattoo. “E.” Eddie said.

“E for Emundo, because he’s like, the love of my life. Not that you’d understand.” Buck said, his voice tinted with obvious sarcasm, but that goofy grin still remained on his face.

Eddie looked at him with disbelief. “And it’s permanent?”

“Uh, yeah.”

“Oh my God,” Eddie shook his head, furrowing his eyebrow. “Why?”

Buck chuckled nervously. “Well, I kind of came up with it this morning, and I thought it was a great idea, so I got it done.” he said, smiling innocently.

“You’re so impulsive.”

“Yeah, yeah. I love it.”

“But why on your chest?” Eddie asked curiously.

Buck pointed. “Where the heart is.”

Eddie licked his lips, hiding a smile. “Creative.”

“The truth.” Buck suggested. “I know you love it.”

Eddie rolled his eyes, letting out a sigh. “Put your shirt back on,”
