Summary
Something was off about this town', that’s what her father told her as they drove in. Lux quietly watched from the car window, this town was perfectly hidden by the forest from any direction, only the faint hints of the setting sun breaking through the leaves. No wonder, it wasn’t on any map. Still this wasn’t what she had expected when her dad told her they were moving for his work. Why would a cop move to a little serene town like this? Not that she was complaining.
"Why are we here?" The young girl inquisitively asked her father. He had quite the somber look on his face.
"According to my boss, there’s something wrong with this town… wants me to stay close to keep an eye out. But don’t tell anyone that, okay? Just act normal. Try to make some friends. Just don’t believe a word that they say, yeah? And if they say anything weird, tell me. And don’t tell anyone I’m a cop."
Lux took a brief look around. Why were there no parents around? This town seem to be full of kids and yet little to no adults were around. Something was definitely up. She just didn’t know what, it seemed like today would be the start of a not so normal life from here on out.
