Where Should We Go?

Summary:

Nick and Charlie are going for a walk, they're going to find a unicorn.

Notes:

I'm gifting this to the one and only unicorn I know, phlimsical. This is a big week for you, and when Google informed me that today was International Unicorn Day, this simply had to happen.

This has been written for the prompt "Where Should We Go?" for Media For Us. Thank you Riley for the prompt and the collection to put it in. I so appreciate you!!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Today is the day, we’re going to explore and we’re going to find one. I just know it. Before you say anything about them not being real, I am seven, so I know that’s what you are supposed to say. You’re a grown-up. Nick and I know better.

We’re going for a walk, in the woods behind his house, and we’re going to go to the place where the fairy circle is.

“Ready?”

“Always!”

We sit quietly and wait. And wait some more. It’s cold and we’re huddled close. Leaves rustle, a twig snaps, and then it’s there.

The unicorn!

Notes:

I do hope you check out the other drabbles in the collection, and let me know if you have a prompt you'd like me to try out.
