Summary
Every night, Ricky visits the same bridge—not ready to jump, but not sure how to keep going either. His only company is a stray golden retriever who watches him from a distance, always quiet, always there.
Then one night, when Ricky finally steps off the edge… the dog jumps too.
They don’t hit the water.
Instead, a rebellious angel intervenes—and gets in trouble for it. As punishment, Ricky ends up with a very unexpected responsibility: the dog is now a boy. Sort of. A hybrid, actually—part human, part dog, and fully attached to Ricky.
His name is Gyuvin. He’s curious, clingy, and thinks Ricky hung the moon.
Ricky doesn’t know what to do with a half-boy who keeps wagging his tail, calling him “Rwick,” and following him around like he’s the best thing in the world.
And somehow, he’s the first thing in a long time that makes Ricky want to stay.
