Departure

Summary:

After everything, their happy end will be an entirely new adventure.

Notes:

Another poem on a Friday. Once again for the Whickber Street Writer's Association Five Words Friday, the words this time were: soft, trail, lunar, reverie, sonorous.

I decided to follow last week's theme of the GOetry Challenge and tried my hand at a Monotetra with the prompt "adventure".

Work Text:

Forever by your side, I vow
The trail unwalked, untrodden now
Lunar light shines soft on your brow
I wonder how, I wonder how

There would be no light without you
No thrill in mundane life I knew
No reverie in any view
I know it's true, I know it's true

Wherever we are is our home
Peaceful garden or stars to roam
Sonorous voice or heavy tome
My thrillsome loam, my thrillsome loam
