If there was one thing Lawliet liked, it was worshipping his partner.
He discovered this taste when Light had once sat at his desk while he sat in his chair, listening to the brunette's scolding.
"You can't be eating sweets all day. I'm going to have to start giving you a balanced diet," Light had told him that day, but the brunette was mesmerized enough to listen.
Seeing Light there, towering over him, as if he were a god and he were a mere orator, pleased him.
Obviously, the next day, seeing soup in front of him instead of his typical cake surprised him greatly, but he decided not to mention anything to prevent the brunette from thinking he wasn't listening.
Another moment he liked was that rainy day, before he and Light became a couple, before he discovered his fetish.
It was on the roof of the building. It had started to rain, and they were soaked. They went inside to dry off, but L, seeing Light so intent on drying his hair, forgot about his feet, so he did it for him, while the brunette began to dry the raven's hair.
Lawliet looked at him adoringly. There was an inexplicable feeling in his chest, but now he knew it; he loved feeling that Light was a god he worshipped.
That's why he was currently lying on his partner's lap, while he sat on top of the desk, giving the other guy goosebumps.
"Why did you ask me to sit on the desk? It's so damn uncomfortable," Light complained.
"It didn't seem to bother you when we fuck," Elle replied simply, earning a smack. "Ouch, that hurt, baby," she complained.
"That's because you're an idiot."
She stared at him again. He rested his chin on the brunette's lap, looking down at him.
"Kira..." he whispered.
Light blinked, bewildered.
"Excuse me?"
"If you keep looking at me like that, I can't resist," he grumbled, hiding his face in the opposite thighs.
"How do I look at you?"
"Like you're a fucking god watching over me."
Light lifted Lawliet's head and placed his hand on his forehead.
"You don't look like you have a fever."
Elle didn't resist. She leaned forward and pressed her lips against each other's, starting a tongue battle they were both used to.
"What the hell is wrong with you, you damn raccoon?" Light complained as he pulled away, panting from the recent kiss.
"I'm scared," Elle said suddenly.
"Of what?"
"I love you so much, I feel like you could kill someone and I'd help you hide the body. I feel like you could tear me into a thousand pieces and I'd gladly let you."
Light smiled.
"Don't be afraid, I'll take care of you, I won't do anything to you, my love."
Lawliet stared at him.
"Sometimes I feel like you're a god, but not the god who will take care of me, but the one who will cause my death."
"Is that why you called me 'Kira'?"
"Yes, because I know you'll kill me, and I'll have no problem with you doing it."
"Let's escape, Ryuzaki," the brunette requested. "Let's go, let's make our lives somewhere else, together."
"Ask me whatever you want and I'll do it, my god," Elle agreed.
"Would you die for me?"
"That and much more."
