Summary
III breaks the silence. “I think I will go down to medical, actually.”
IV stares at him for a moment and then takes a deep breath. “Would you like some company?”
II looks at Vessel, who looks abashed at his own behavior, and thinks that it serves him right. II looks back at the way that IV looks tenderly at III and feels a traitorous glimmer of hope in his chest.
“Yeah, if you don’t mind,” III says, and he follows IV out the door.
