“…Soo…how are you all?”
Present (TPOT) Pin awkwardly attempted to make conversation with her younger counterparts.
“Fine.”BFDI Pin tapped her fingers on the table, clearly bored.
“Horrible.But it’s nice to see that I’ll eventually get my limbs back.”BFDIA Pin deadpanned.
“Uh…pretty good!”IDFB Pin muttered shyly,”I just got my limbs back thanks to GB, so, uh, that’s pretty nice…”
“Great!”BFB Pin answered simply, smiling warmly at the others.
“Yeah, uh…well, is there anything any of you wanna ask me about ?Regarding the future?”TPOT Pin clasped her hands together.
“Well…”BFDIA Pin glanced away for a second with an unreadable expression before clearing her throat.
“Uh, who’s my best friend in the future?”
“Coiny, of course!”
Her eyes widened a little in surprise, and her expression grew a little more hopeful.
“R-really?”
“Yeah!”
“O-okay...”she was now far more engaged in the conversation, a faint smile tugging at her lips.
Meanwhile, BFDI Pin looked the others with utter confusion after hearing the response.
“Um, excuse me?I recall my best friend being Leafy.”
“Not anymore.”her BFDIA self blurted out.
…Wow.
Pin had forgotten just how blunt she’d became in BFDIA.
TPOT Pin swiftly took back control of the conversation.“She’s still a friend, don’t worry!We
just…aren’t as close anymore.”
She rubbed her arm uncomfortably.She’d remembered how she’d seen Leafy and Firey on what seemed to be a deserted island during the balance beam challenge.
They’d travelled alone together.
Never to return.
Without telling her.
Without telling ANY of their TPOT friends.
…
No time to think about that, though.
She returned her focus onto her original self.
“Ugh.Are you serious?All Coiny does is slap Firey all day, there’s nothing else to him.”
“HEY!”the others unanimously protested.
“Have you ever thought that, just maybe, people change?And that perhaps there’s more to people than what meets the eye?”TPOT Pin glared daggers into her youngest self.God, did she hate how she acted back then.
“All I hear is excuses.”she ignorantly turned away.
“I-“
“Now now, that’s not how you talk to people.”
The other Pins turned to the source of the sound.
Now sitting across from them, was future Pin (Post TPOT Pin).
They stared at her in shock.
“W-when did you get here?!”TPOT Pin shouted in shock.
“Doesn’t matter.”she dismissed the question.
BFDI Pin actually seemed a little frightened of her eldest self sitting across from her.But she continued to stand her ground.
“W-whatever!You guys can’t tell me what to do.”
A feeble response, really.
“Whatever you say…”she grinned smugly at her youngest self.
“…Wait a minute.”
BFDIA Pin noticed something strange.
“Is that…”
“A ring on your finger?”
“HUH?!”
Everyone looked over at her hand.
She was now the centre of attention.
“Oh, pshht, it’s nothing.It’s not a proposal ring…”she paused for a moment.
“Though, it was a gift from my
boyfriend…”
BFDI Pin slammed her fist onto the table.
“Who.”she demanded.
…
“Why, my once-best friend, of course!”she responded without missing a beat.
.
“WHAT?!”
The whole room erupted into chaos.
BFDI Pin banged her head on the table in defeat, clearly hating the entire situation.BFDIA Pin started hyperventilating, unsure of what to make of this reveal.IDFB Pin bashfully hid her face in her hands, and both BFB and TPOT Pin freaked out together, emitting high pitched squeaks, though they seemed to be pleasantly, yet very surprised about the reveal, not upset.
All while the eldest sat there with a sly grin, proud of the utter chaos unfolding before her.
This was all a mess.
A big, beautiful mess.
