Work Text:
In away, both he and his passenger were amused by their visit to the SBI, though he’d rather it had been anyone else than Peter Hale he’d sat across that table from. Yeah, he could play worried and scared teenager well, but Peter had always been able to see through him, and he wasn’t totally sure Peter hadn’t this time.
And really he hadn’t wanted to be dealing with any Hale, but needs must. He could have managed Derek, but he had no chance of handling Peter that way.
That wolf might be a kink in the plan he didn’t need. A kink that had his passenger near as dammit purring. ‘Don’t worry, little one, we’ll get through it.’ The sibilant hiss was no more pleasant now than it had been the first time he had heard it. Just he was more used to it now.
There had been a lot of negotiations between his passenger and Noshiko Yukimura to get things to settle and for his passenger not to commit out right murder. Though, a lot of people had paid with a lot of chaos that he’d been a part of but had no control over. Becoming a skin suit for a thousand plus year old demon had been no fun at all.
And the price he’d had to pay to reach his own agreement with his guest had been like ripping himself open and spreading his guts all over the floor, so salt could be poured on them. And his passenger still laughed whenever he thought about it.
The impression of being patted on the head by a condescending uncle really wasn’t improving his mood any, and the feel of a sardonic chuckle passing through him didn’t help either.
‘We’ll get Noah one way or another, don’t worry.’ And that hiss wasn’t that reassuring either, as the thought of the mess his passenger could make with his body had his stomach rolling. Why it seemed to like his father he didn’t know, but it did.
And that was scary in itself.
