Gaslight, Gatekeep, Girlboss, and (the new addition) Gossip

Summary:

Midoriya Izuku was the least popular kid in school due to his status as Quirkless. People either bullied him or completely ignored him. That was his life… well until three people stumbled upon him, bloody bruised and broken. Those three people decided to help him get back on his feet and welcomed him into their vigilante group.

Chapter 1: Izuku needs help

Chapter Text

Midoriya Izuku was the least popular kid in school due to his status as Quirkless. This meant that everyone either bullied him or just ignored him, including the teachers. The teachers would purposely give him low grades but not low enough to reflect badly on them, while ignoring all the times he would come into class injured.

That day was like any other miserable day, until it wasn’t. It started out normal with classes and the usual beating during lunch, but then near the end of the school day the teacher had handed out a form of ‘what do you want to do when you leave’ as this was his second to last year in this school. His answer? He wanted to be a hero, just like most kids his age, except he was going to apply for UA later.

He didn’t put that on the form though, he did put that he wanted to be a hero but not that he’d apply for UA, that would be an invitation for mockery. He already had enough of that with being Quirkless but for others to find out he going to try for UA? He’ll be verbally demolished within seconds.

Then the end of the school day came about. He was packing up and getting ready to leave when Kacchan’s goons had cornered him and basically dragged him outside. There waiting for him was Kacchan himself. What had he done to piss off Kacchan today? He was quiet, he was out of the way, he didn’t even mumble rant at all today! So why was Kacchan mad at him?

No words were exchanged just the sound of explosions crackled and before he knew it Kacchan’s hands were burning his shoulders and ruining his uniform once again. Then the others started joining in with the beating. Kicking, punching, using quirks. He lost consciousness very quickly.

When he regained consciousness he was still in that secluded area of the streets. It was nearly night and he was in too much pain to walk back to his house which was over 20 minutes away.

It was three voices that broke him out of his painful haze. There were people nearby! They could help him! The only problem was that he couldn’t move and his throat felt parched. He would just have to hope.

“Hey! There’s a kid here! He needs medical attention!” A male voice exclaimed.

He blacked out once again after that.

When he awoke again it was to the sight of what looks like a house living room. He was very much healed and he had some stitches but nothing too bad.

Then the door opened to see three individuals. Two women and a man. The man had bright blue hair with crystals floating around his head, his eyes were green, and he was wearing a blue jacket with a white top that had a green heart on it underneath and blue jeans.

The taller woman had brown hair, her eyes were also green, she had a crescent shaped scar over her right eye, she had blue moth wings and antenna, she was wearing a blue hoodie and black shorts.

The shorter woman had orange hair with yellow flowers in it but her hair looked odd then he realised that her hair were snakes, her eyes were yellow, her skin was green and looked stitched together, she wore a navy blue torn shirt with her literal ribs and heart exposed! She also wore black shorts with  black and white striped leg warmers.

As he sat up slowly he asked “Where am I?”

“Well, you’re at our place. I was the one to stitch you up and healed you too.” The shorter woman said.

“Now could you tell us what happened to you to get beaten up so badly?” The male asked.

“Bullies…” he mumbled.

He looked at the three of them. He realised that he had no idea who they were but they did save him, so they couldn’t be bad people right?

So he asked “What are your names?” So they introduced themselves to him. The man was named Scott, the taller woman was Pearl and the shorter woman was Cleo. In return he told them his name.

He then asked “Could I stay here?”

The three of them looked at each other with concern.

“Don’t you have someone to go back too?” Scott asked.

“No. My mother died a year ago. My father abandoned us when he found out I was Quirkless. I don’t have anyone else and I have been living on my own for a year. I’m running out of money and I can’t afford rent.” He answered.

The three of them left the room to discuss the situation. He really hoped that they would allow him to stay with them. He hadn’t been shown this amount of kindness in a long time. He didn’t care if they were secretly bad people; they had been nice to him but some part of him hoped that they were indeed good people.

When they returned they had set some rules. Transparency is very important, there must be no secrets between them which is why they told him that they were a vigilante group called the G’s. Cleo was Gaslight, Scott was Gatekeep and Pearl was Girlboss.

He asked if one day he could join them in vigilantism because he was quirkless and couldn’t be an actual hero. They replied with ‘try to become a licensed hero and if it does work out then yes he could join them.’

It was only a year later that Izuku had his dream crushed by the number 1 hero and his idol. It had only been a year that he’d been living with the G’s and he was now being taught self defence, finding the right name for him and figuring out his place on the team.

He was a naturally good learner, his vigilante name was Gossip and he was the analyst. He was the one to gather information. He even gained a jacket. It was a black jacket with the word Gossip in dark green with a dark green  heart over the i on the back. Scott’s was a black jacket with the word Gatekeep in light green with an outline of a lime green heart. Pearl’s jacket was black with the word Girlboss in yellow with the o being a yellow heart. Cleo’s jacket was black with the word Gaslight in red with the red heart over the i and also had an outline of a flame.

Life was good. He very rarely went out on the field but that was alright, he didn’t need to be out in the action all the time to be helping people.

Life was good.

Until it wasn’t.
