Summary
There's something wrong with the datastream.
Doc's gone to check things out, muting and deafening himself, leaving Martyn to float aimlessly by himself. And he is just floating, not in any particular direction, because the 'stream' part of the datastream has stopped entirely. There's been no movement, no portals, and subsequently no way for them to get LOOT Shards.
Unrelated, Martyn also has this voice in his head.

“We’re heading west,” Grian said, his voice quiet but firm.
“Yes,” Mumbo confirmed.
“You’re coming with us?”
“I want to make sure you get there.”
Grian studied him for a moment, then asked the question that had been weighing on Mumbo’s mind the entire day. “What will you do after?”
Mumbo hesitated, then shook his head slowly. “I don’t know. Maybe head home, if there’s anything left of it. Or just… figure out what freedom feels like.” He paused, his voice barely a whisper. “If there is such a thing anymore.”
Or, Mumbo escapes captivity with two hybrids, and fights to keep them safe by finding the Hermits.
