Summary
Walburga and Orion Black only wanted what was best for their sons. Why couldn’t Sirius see that? Why did he have to rebel?
Regulus Black had always been the perfect son. Everything he’d ever done was perfectly calculated to uphold his family’s legacy. He’d prioritised his family’s beliefs over his own. He was happy to join the Death Eaters if it meant preserving his family’s noble status. In fact, he wanted to join them. He wanted power. He wanted glory. And he'd stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
But he knew he had to do something once he realised the Dark Lord didn't intend on sharing his new-found power with his followers. Regulus was going to destroy Voldemort no matter the cost.
Or
After years of being the perfect son, Regulus gets disillusioned by Voldemort's platform, decides to hunt horcruxes with the help of his brother and his friends, and realises there's more to life than power and glory.
