Work Text:

Yeo Halyun woke up and rubbed his eyes blearily. Turning to the side, he saw the sleeping face his boyfriend, eyes shut tightly and black hair ruffled in his sleep. His boyfriend was utterly adorable, and Yeo Halyun felt like a winner in life.

About six months ago, he had gotten a boyfriend. Jin Cheonhee.

Yeo Halyun had been hesitant at first — Cheonhee was popular, handsome, and intelligent — how could he possibly get together with him…?

But after waiting for months, chatting casually, and gathering up his courage, Yeo Halyun finally had the chance to ask Jin Cheonhee out.

The latter had said yes.

Things… simply snowballed after that.

They went on their first date, then a second, then a third, and then they started talking every day, eating together casually, and sleeping in each other’s place….

And they had been dating for six months, now.

Yeo Halyun had woken up early today, as usual, and he smiled when he saw his boyfriend curled up on the bed next to him.

The peaceful look on Cheonhee’s face.

The golden sunlight that gave Cheonhee an ethereal glow.

The way Cheonhee’s chest rose and fell rhythmically….

This was truly the perfect way to start the day.

Yeo Halyun crept out of bed silently, not wanting to wake Cheonhee up. Last night they had a lot of… fun, and Yeo Halyun knew Cheonhee was tired. He would make his boyfriend some breakfast and let him sleep more.

Yeo Halyun put on a shirt casually and bent down to kiss Cheonhee’s forehead.

His boyfriend stirred a little, mumbled something unintelligible, and burrowed into his pillow.

Yeo Halyun gave a fond smile and exited the bedroom.

He was going to make breakfast.

Yeo Halyun was almost finished making breakfast — there was scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages, French toast, and, of course, a platter of fruit. As a doctor, Cheonhee wanted both of them to always eat healthy food, and since Yeo Halyun’s knife skills were amazing, he decided that cutting up a platter of fruit every time they ate together was a good way to show off and stay healthy. It was hitting two birds with one stone.

As Yeo Halyun was setting the table, he heard the pitter-patter of footsteps and looked up, smiling in anticipation. Cheonhee was probably awake….

!!! Yeo Halyun’s eyes widened when he saw his boyfriend.

Cheonhee was rubbing one eye sleepily, dressed in nothing but a hoodie.

And not just any hoodie.

It was Yeo Halyun’s.

Yeo Halyun felt like his breath had been stolen.

Seeing his boyfriend wearing his clothes shouldn’t have made him this speechless, but it did. It really did.

There was something very domestic, very warm, about watching his boyfriend wearing his clothes, that made Yeo Halyun’s blood boil.

They were boyfriends.

They would (hopefully!) become a family one day.

This was so warm, so lovely….

“Hm? Halyun?” Cheonhee called out, and Yeo Halyun snapped out of his daze.

“What’s wrong?” Cheonhee asked, moving to him and tugging on his hand.

Yeo Halyun looked at his boyfriend’s concerned eyes and felt his heart melt. God, the things his boyfriend made him feel…. It was unreal.

“Cheonhee,” Yeo Halyun whispered, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend and pulling him closer.

“Halyun?” Cheonhee questioned, but his arms hugged Halyun back.

“I love you,” Yeo Halyun murmured, kissing the top of Cheonhee’s head.

Cheonhee hummed.

“I love you too, Halyun. What’s up with you?” Cheonhee asked, yawning a little.

“Nothing,” Yeo Halyun whispered.

He once felt so lost, so alone…. He didn’t have anyone in his life. No friends, no family….

What was the point of him living anyway?

But now, with his boyfriend….

“You look cute wearing my hoodie,” Yeo Halyun said, and in his arms, Jin Cheonhee blushed.

“You don’t mind that I took your clothes?” Cheonhee asked doubtfully.

Yeo Halyun scoffed.

This person had already stolen his heart. So what if he stole his clothes, his money, and his entire life away?

In fact, Yeo Halyun wished Cheonhee would occupy the rest of his life….

“I don’t mind,” Halyun replied. “You’re my boyfriend. What’s mine is yours….”

“Besides,” Yeo Halyun said gently. “I want to wake up every day and see you wearing my clothes…. I hope this happens every day for the rest of my life.”

Cheonhee gently pulled out of Halyun’s embrace and smiled cheekily.

“Halyun, if you see me wearing your hoodie every day for the rest of your life, don’t you think I’d stink?”

“What?” Yeo Halyun asked, confused.

“Tsk tsk tsk,” Cheonhee clicked his tongue playfully. “Don’t you need to wash your clothes every once in a while?”

As realization dawned on him, Yeo Halyun broke into a smile.

“Well…. while the hoodie is being washed, it seems like you don’t have anything to wear, then,” Yeo Halyun shrugged, as if it was such a pity.

“Dirty-minded rascal,” Cheonhee grumbled, tapping Halyun’s chest.

“What?” Yeo Halyun asked with faux innocence. “Are you afraid you’ll be cold?”

Cheonhee glared at him, but Halyun pretended not to notice.

“If you’re afraid of the cold, you don’t have to worry…” Yeo Halyun smirked. “I have plenty of ways to make you warm—”

“Oh my god!” Cheonhee hissed, hitting Yeo Halyun’s chest with a scandalized tone. His ears, though, were burning red.

“Wasn’t last night not enough,” Cheonhee grumbled under his breath, and Yeo Halyun chuckled.

“How could it be enough, Hee?” Yeo Halyun shook his head.

“I’ll never get enough of you,” Yeo Halyun confessed sincerely.

At his words, Cheonhee’s expression melted and he hugged Halyun again, nuzzling into his embrace.

“…Me too, Halyun. Me too.”
