Chapter Text
The ocean is selfish.
She is greedy.
She takes, and takes whatever she wants, with no regard for anyone beside herself.
She may make you think she cares about you.
She is lying.
She only wants to steal you away, and once she has you, she will leave you to drown.
Maybe you're fine with that.
I think you could do better.
Do not search for what you need in the ocean.
She does not have it, and even if she did, she would not give it to you.
The ocean is greedy.
She is selfish.
She takes whatever she wants, and keeps it all for herself.
Do not seek out the ocean.
You will find her.
You will draw her attention, and she will steal you away like she did so many other shiny things before you.
Left to drown at the bottom.
Loved, but forgotten.
If that is what you seek, then seek it.
I will not stop you.
But I will warn you.
The ocean is selfish.
The ocean is greedy.
She is brutal and unforgiving, a hoarder always reaching for more, uncaring of the damage she does so long as she gets what she wants.
She's a violent lover for a night.
She's absent, yet suffocating.
Surrounded on all sides by the one who claimed to love you as you drown from their neglect.
You do not deserve that fate.
