Sure! I'll Meet Your Family!

Summary:

Flash meets his new coworker Nightwing and they hit it off, both of them clearly into the other. There's only so many date ideas that keep their secret identities secret though, thankfully Nightwing has an idea. However it comes with a cost... how bad could a rowdy sibling or two be? Besides, parents love him!

Notes:

For acetypeface!
I really hope you enjoy this! I wasn't entirely sure how to write birdflash as this is my first time but I also love it and wanted to give it a shot! There's also no tag for The Batfamily Traumatizes Wally, which is such a shame because they really give it their all <3 anyways!

Enjoy! <3

Work Text:

There was a new member joining the Justice League.

Wally had taken over for Barry as the Flash not too long ago. His uncle was busy caring for his wife and his newborn twins, so he hadn't had time to be a hero. Plus Uncle Barry didn't want to go put his life on the line when he had his new family waiting on him. Wally didn't blame him one bit at all. He'd do the same if he was in his uncle's shoes. So when Barry asked if he'd be willing to take the mantle, if only temporary, Wally had said yes.

Which, of course, included being an active and participating member of the Justice League. Thankfully the big guys didn't mind Wally. Superman was super (hah!) chill, Wonder Woman demanded to meet the twins as she held a fondness for babies and kids, Green Lantern was fun to hang with, and Batman… Well Uncle Barry hadn't been joking. The man, if he was one, was stern. Didn't like jokes, puns, or casual conversation. Honestly Wally had no clue what the guy liked. It was like he was constantly grumpy.

However each new member had to be vetted by the big bad Batman so Wally at least knew it wasn't anything personal. On that note, they were getting a new member! Each core member had to vote on new additions and be vetted properly, only then could they accept a new hero into their ranks.

Yet this hero, or rather vigilante, had been expedited through the process. It made him admittedly wary given he'd been subject to the due process even with his uncle's recommendation and reassurance. The reason why this unknown was allowed leniency? Batman had been the recommendation.

Apparently that was enough for the league. So they were getting a new member. Superman had volunteered to show the new guy around, and had seemed a little too excited about it actually. Wally just hoped whoever the new vigilante was that they were friendly.

Wally was sat in the cafeteria, just hanging out for a bit before heading home, when Superman and the new member came by.

Superman came up to Wally with a smile, “Oh hey! Glad I caught you, this is Nightwing. He's the new member. Nightwing, this is the Flash.”

And oh boy. Nightwing was gorgeous. Wally had seen plenty of tight fitting suits and attractive heros but Nightwing had an aura to him. The man was well built but lean. He looked nimble. His hair was black and loose, brushing his forehead. Nightwing's suit had a blue bird-like emblem on it and some sort of sticks were attached to his back. Worst of all, Nightwing shot him a smile and Wally felt his heart practically stop. This man was too attractive for his own good…

Nightwing held out his hand and Wally took it, “It's nice to meet you Flash, I've heard a lot of good things.”

He chuckled, “I should hope it's only the good, wouldn't want to make a bad impression on someone like you.”

Wally regretted it the second it left his mouth. Really? ‘I wouldn't want to make a bad impression on someone like you’? That was so cringe, way to go Wally! Screwing it up before he even got a change to try. God Iris was gonna give him crap for this later wasn't she?

However instead of Nightwing cringing, glaring, or giving Wally any sort of negative reaction, Nightwing grinned and winked. And oh wasn't that smooth? Wally fought the urge to get too excited because the butterflies in his stomach certainly were demanding such behavior. No, he told himself, because he needed to keep this up.

“Personally I think you made a great first impression. Hopefully we'll see more of each other, yeah?” Nightwing asked with a smirk.

Wally blushed and smiled, “Yeah, I hope so too.”

Nightwing nodded and waved a hand in goodbye while a baffled Superman led him away to continue the tour of the Watchtower. Wally was left gaping at the man's ass. That was one fine hind end. He shook his head and grinned. He certainly hadn't lied, he hoped that he'd get to see Nightwing again. Maybe flirt with him some more. Maybe even ask him out? Yeah, that sounded perfect.

Their next encounter was during training. Wally had been doing some non-powered running on the treadmill, his suit on just in case he decided to do some superpowered sprints. He was the only member using the Watchtower's training facilities that afternoon, or was it evening? Time was hard to keep track of in space… Wally was running when he heard the doors open. In walked Mr. Stunning. He wasn't in uniform either.

Nightwing had his domino mask on, but he had traded the suit for a loose t-shirt and some shorts. Wally tried desperately not to stare. He focused back on his running but found himself glancing at the vigilante. Nightwing used various pieces of weight based structures before heading over to some gymnastics equipment. Wally had personally never seen anyone use the gymnastics stuff. As far as he knew, none of the members knew really what to do with them. Himself included in that list. So needless to say he was curious as to what Nightwing was going to do.

Nightwing certainly did not disappoint. He did flips and twists and flew so high in the air that Wally thought he was some species of bird. The way he moved and shifted mid-air was fluid and entrancing. Wally couldn't even think of looking away. Nightwing was mesmerizing. The other man knew it too because one second Wally was watching him do some sort of flip mid-air and the next Nightwing was meeting his eyes and shooting him a wink. Wally grinned and scoffed, Nightwing had known he was watching all along hadn't he?

Wally sighed but still smiled as he turned off the treadmill. So be it. Clearly if he was going to watch he might as well enjoy the show!

And a show it was! Once Nightwing had his full attention with no pesky distractions, he gave it his all. The act was worthy of a circus or Vegas he thought idly. Nightwing was truly talented. Eventually the other man dropped to the floor mat and gave a dramatic bow. Wally clapped shamelessly.

Wally grinned, “You're a natural Nightwing, it's like you've been doing this for forever!”

Nightwing joined him at his side and chuckled, it was a sound Wally liked. Sweat gleamed on the other man's forehead and his hair was messy and stuck to his face. He had a breathless smile and breathed hard trying to recover from the rigorous routine. Nightwing ran his hair back with his spare hand, the other reaching for a water bottle Wally hadn't noticed sitting nearby. Nightwing also grabbed a towel that rested there, throwing it around his neck after using it to wipe the sweat from his brow.

“Would you want to spar?” Nightwing offered with a lazy smirk.

Wally blinked, “I mean, are you sure? I'm not the greatest at hand-to-hand and you just got done doing all- that.”

Nightwing winked, “I have more stamina than that, Flash.”

Wally felt himself blush and decided to take the bait, “Well you know there's other ways to show me than just sparring. Things that I'm much better at.”

This time Nightwing blushed, and Wally found that it was also on the growing list of things he liked about the vigilante. Deciding to spare Nightwing his gaze he gestured for the other man to follow him. Wally led them to the training mats and Nightwing took his own spot and smirked. Clearly, Wally was in for a beating with this one.

“Can I use my speed?” Wally asked, slightly hopeful.

Nightwing scoffed and shook his head, “Where's the fun in that?”

Wally snorted, “Look I may have underestimated you when we first met but I have a strong feeling you're gonna wipe the floor with me.”

The smirk he received spoke volumes and he took a position opposite from Nightwing. The vigilante gave him a nod and he returned it, putting up his arms to block. It was a little difficult to remind himself that he needed to move normally but he somewhat succeeded. Nightwing took initiative and lunged first, Wally unsure if he should be grateful or not for the break in the building tension. He lunged and swung at Wally and he pulled back to evade the other man. He jabbed low in what he had assumed was Nightwing's open spot. Wally was immediately proven wrong when Nightwing kicked out with his leg and hit him square on the chest which sent him flying onto the padded mat. He landed with a thud, limbs sprawled out on the mat. Nightwing jumped on top of him with a victorious grin, pinning his arms above his head.

Wally blushed as he realized the precarious position they were in. Nightwing smirked and Wally became aware that the situation was likely by design.

“You're pretty when you blush.” Nightwing said with his masked face looming above Wally's.

Wally laughed, “Usually that's my line.”

Nightwing leaned back and chuckled, “Is that so? Quick with the one-liners are you?”

“Is that a speedster joke?” Wally asked with a smile.

Nightwing smirked and stood, lending a hand which Wally took gratefully. The vigilante took a drink from the water bottle and then offered it to him.

Wally shook his head, “No thanks. So uh, are you seeing anyone currently?”

The vigilante looked at him and raised an eyebrow, “Who's asking?”

He huffed and rolled his eyes, “Really gonna make me say it huh? I was wondering if you were interested in going out with me. Like a date?”

The smirk Nightwing had told him that he was being messed with, “Sure.”

Wally froze, “Wait really? Seriously?”

Nightwing nodded while stretching, “Yeah why not? You're funny and cute.”

He felt that pesky blush return, “So not fair man…”

The vigilante laughed and it was music to his ears, “Well it's true. So, what do you want to do? Can't exactly go out normally with the secret identities and all.”

Wally shrugged, “I mean, we could just hang in the cafeteria? Maybe we could patrol together, I heard you're the vigilante for a pretty rough town.”

Nighting scoffed, “Bludhaven is ‘pretty rough'? I mean, sure, but if we end up in my territory you'll have to meet my family. They like to… visit.”

Wally waved a hand at the notion, “I can meet your family, parents love me!”

“Is that so? Then be my guest, but my siblings may be a bit much you know.” Nightwing said with a snicker.

He rolled his eyes, “Trust me, they can't be as bad as my cousin Bart. Kid is nothing but energy and we're a family of speedsters! I can definitely handle some rowdy kids- why are you laughing?”

Nightwing was bent over laughing, clutching his stomach, “I- you- I can't stop laughing- this'll be great! You're really something, aren't you Flash?”

Wally grinned, “How bad could it possibly be?”

The look his date to-be shot him didn't make him feel so confident but surely, how bad could Nightwing's family be?

Well he got the chance to find out a few nights later.

Together they made plans after a Justice League meeting to patrol together and grab a post patrol snack afterwards, Nightwing's treat. So come a few days later Wally found himself getting ready at Barry and Iris's. Not that it was gonna matter much given he was going to be suited up as Flash… but still. His Uncle Barry snorted upon seeing him adjusting the suit. Aunt Iris smiled and gave him a thumbs up as he put on his boots. The twins gurgled and squirmed from their spot on the floor while he said goodbye to his littlest family members. Bart wiggled his eyebrows and tried to make a teasing comment as Wally pulled his cowl up. Before his family could tease him for his behavior he phased through the house and sped off towards Bludhaven.

The Flash had a date after all.

It didn't take him long, he was the fastest man alive of course! (Sorry Uncle Barry!)

When he arrived in Bludhaven it was dark. The sky was cloudy and the air was… less than clean. Wally hadn't been to Bludhaven before, didn't even know about Nightwing and his city until the vigilante joined the league on Batman's recommendation. It was dreary but the people carried themselves with purpose, it was their home. He zipped around the city for a bit, taking it all in. Wally stopped on top of a rooftop to wait for Nightwing. He figured that Nightwing would be able to spot him from up high. It didn't take long for him to hear footsteps behind him. Wally turned sharply to see… nothing. He felt a tap on his shoulder and he jumped in surprise only to see Nightwing grinning.

“You scared me dude! What was that for!”

Nightwing snickered, “Too easy of a target.”

Wally rolled his eyes, “What does that even mean.”

“It means, that you're gonna be easy pickings for my family.” Nightwing said with a smirk.

He shook his head, “I'm telling you, I got this. Have some faith in me! Now, who do I gotta beat up first to win your heart?”

Nightwing gasped and put one hand to his heart and the other to his forehead, “My knight in shining armor!”

Wally laughed, “You're cute.”

Nightwing sputtered in the middle of his dramatics but recovered, then much to Wally's horror, jumped off the roof. He sped to the edge and prepared to have to run down the building to catch the falling vigilante but instead he watch in awe as Nightwing did some mixture of flips and twists in mid air. Then right as Wally started to really worry, Nightwing shot out a grappling hook and swung to safety a building away. The Flash zipped over to him in seconds.

“So that's what your fancy flips are from.” He said with wonder and amazement.

Nightwing blushed, “Ah, not quite, that's a civilian thing for me… it's not that special.”

Wally scoffed, “Nuh uh! No way! That was awesome. It- it was like you were flying or something! Is that why you're called Nightwing? Fight in the night and fly like a bird?”

Something he said must've been funny because Nightwing began laughing, “Something like that. I got my name from Superman actually. Long story but to cut it short I needed a bit of a ‘rebranding’.”

He raised an eyebrow, “You weren't always Nightwing huh? I must've not met you before, I think I would've remembered someone as memorable as you.”

The vigilante chuckled and leapt off the building doing another couple flips, this time though he didn't stop, just kept using his grappling hook to swing and do flips. Flash followed him as he traveled through the city before watching him drop into an alleyway. By the time Wally joined him in the alley, Nightwing had already beaten up a pair of thugs. The not-so-dynamic duo had been trying to rob a woman. Wally picked up the poor lady's purse and returned it to her with a reassuring smile while Nightwing zip tied the two would-be thieves to a street lamp.

“How am I supposed to win the right to your hand if you're taking out the competition before I even get to fight them!” Wally said with a dramatic groan.

The vigilante chuckled and shrugged, “I thought you were supposed to be fast.”

Wally smirked. Okay. Now it was on! Before Nightwing could fly away, Wally ran around the city looking for trouble. Except, by the time he found it, Nightwing was already there finishing whatever had been started! It happened a handful more times before Wally threw his hands up in exasperation.

“Come on man! How do you keep doing that!”

Nightwing kept a neutral face, “Doing what?”

Wally snorted, “Don't play dumb. How do you keep beating me to the criminals?”

His vigilante date smirked and tapped his ear. Only then did Wally notice the ear bud looking device. Of course! He was being fed intel! How did he miss that?

He groaned and Nightwing laughed, “If it helps, Oracle said you were fast. I had to take some serious shortcuts to make it there first.”

Wally perked up, “Oracle? Who's that?”

Nightwing smiled something fond, “Family friend, they're vital to what we do.”

“So… vigilantism is a family business for you?” He asked, intrigued.

His date nodded, “Something like that.”

Wally scoffed, “You keep saying that.”

Nightwing went to reply before pausing and listening, “Oracle says one of my brothers is inbound.”

He perked up, “Plural? Which one?”

Instead of being answered, Wally felt something large hit him like a projectile. He hit the ground hard and heard shouting. Ouch. Not cool man. What thug had gotten the drop on him? Groaning, Wally picked himself up and saw… a child? The kid looked to be younger than Bart. Short too.

“I'm not short you imbecile! How dare you lay your unworthy eyes on him!” The child seethed with unbridled rage.

The child also had a sword, for some reason… Wally jumped back as the toddler with the large sharp object lunged at him. The kid tried to cut him but with superspeed Wally slipped around the sword's blade. With him moving faster than the kid could keep up with, he carefully plucked the weapon out of the child's grasp. When he stopped moving, the kid stumbled forward and screeched when he realized his toy had been taken. Wally expected that to be the end of it. Unlike his expectations, the creature leaped at him and clung to him. That's how he found himself being pummeled by what had to be a third grader. Eventually Nightwing pried the gremlin of a child off of him.

There were literal tears in his suit. He had bruises and cuts forming.

Nightwing chuckled nervously, “Sorry, this is my little brother. He's… overprotective.”

The little brother in question fumed and squirmed in his big brother's grasp, “This scum is unworthy to court you! I shall dispose of him swiftly!”

Wally gaped at the squirming demon, “I- what? That- that's your brother? He's a- he's… uh, very uhm, tactile?”

Nightwing snorted, “It's okay. We know. You can say it.”

Wally shook his head, “No. I'm not gonna call my date's little brother something unhinged. Is he always like this?”

The vigilante sighed with a shrug, “It's a work in progress?”

That did not make Wally feel better, especially since the seething child seemed to get more enraged.

“I will eviscerate you!”

Wally shuddered.

Nightwing set the kid down gently and held him by the shoulders, “Rob, you are not allowed to kill Flash. It would go against B's rules, remember? Now, promise me you won't hurt Flash.”

Rob, apparently, shuffled and looked at the ground in shame. The kid mumbled something and Nightwing sighed in exasperation. Which thus prompted Rob to repeat himself.

“Fine. I shall not remove Flash from your presence.” Rob said with a glare directed at Wally.

Nightwing grinned and clapped, “Wonderful! Thank you! Does B know you're here?”

Rob shook his head which had Nightwing sighing, “Looks like we need to take you back don't we.”

Wally noted the underlying fondness. Clearly Nightwing loved his little brother. Even if said brother was a demon in disguise sent to maul Wally…

So their date got slightly reworked, it was fine. Wally could work with what was left! They traveled through the city for a bit before Nightwing got on a motorcycle that was stashed in an alleyway. Rob hopped on behind him.

His date frowned, “Is it alright if you run? We can ride back together?”

‘Or I can carry you.’ Wally thought shamelessly. Instead he nodded with a smile.

“Not a problem for the fastest man alive! I'll be right behind you!”

Nightwing grinned and took off through the city. Whatever he was driving was fast. Faster than other motorcycles. It wasn't like he couldn't keep up though. Eventually they crossed from Bludhaven into Gotham. Wally didn't know much about either place but he knew one thing though.

Gotham was Batman's territory.

He ran up to Nightwing, “Hey, we shouldn't be here. I don't think Batman will like it.”

Nightwing nodded briefly as he was still driving, “It's good. He won't mind.”

Wally wasn't too sure about that but he decided to trust his date on it.

Eventually Nightwing led them to a cave entrance in Gotham's richer district. They entered and Wally couldn't help but be amazed as the cave opened up into an entire cavern. Computers, vehicles, and more advanced looking technology littered the place. Display cases and a medical bay were on the one side. Massive versions of things were in the background and Wally resisted the urge to go check them out. Nightwing and Rob got off of the motorcycle and walked over to the big computer. Wally joined Nightwing at his side.

Suddenly the computer chair swiveled around and what looked to be a teen sat in it. The teen, maybe a few years older than his cousin Bart, upon seeing him immediately gasped and threw himself at him. Wally jumped back to evade, because there was no way he was going to do this a second time. However just like before his wishes were ignored as the zombie-like teen jumped at him until he clung to him like some sort of demented koala.

The teen wasn't in a uniform, nor did he have a mask, so Wally got to watch as the kid's face studied him like an insect under a microscope. The kid had deep set bags under his eyes and wore a crazed expression. Wide eyes desperately searched his own and eventually the teen spoke.

“You're not real.” The teen said.

Wally felt goosebumps, “Uh, I'm not?”

The bizarre kid stared unblinking, “None of this is real. We're all just a computer program. Red pill or blue pill it doesn't matter, we're not real.”

Wally nodded slowly, “Uhuh, okay, yeah that's really nice and all but could you, oh I don't know, unattach yourself from me?”

“I need more caffeine.”

Then, for the second time that night, Nightwing was peeling someone off of him. If Wally had a nickel for every time something like this had happened to him, he'd had two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice. So Nightwing pried the weird teen of of him.

“Red! You can't scare guests! And where is your mask? No, no more coffee. You haven't slept in a week! Robin get the tranquilizers, Red needs it.” Nightwing said in exasperation which increasingly gave Wally reasons to be concerned.

Apparently Rob was actually a Robin, but where had he heard that name before? Also, staying awake for a week? That was like- impossible.

It was impossible right?

The child, Robin, disappeared from sight towards what Wally had deciphered as some sort of medical wing. He turned back to Nightwing and what he could only assume was another brother. Nightwing had said brothers plural after all…

Nightwing grinned, “This is my other brother, Red Robin. He's… got a caffeine problem.”

The teenager, Red Robin, squirmed in his older brother's grasp, “I don't have a problem! I need it! I got work to do!”

Nightwing nodded sagely, “Yes yes, I know you do Red. But you gotta sleep.”

Wally just watched in morbid interest as Red Robin refused to rest and instead tried to return to the computers. Nightwing gracefully restraining his brother and reassuring him that no, he was going to be going to bed. He raised and eyebrow as Robin returned with a syringe.

“You're not actually going to drug him… right?” Wally asked nervously.

Nightwing sighed, “It's been a week, normally we'd nag him until he conceded or passed out from sheer exhaustion. However he's still sneaking caffeine and we're fairly certain it may have long lasting side effects if prolonged. So we're taking drastic measures.”

Wally watched on as Nightwing injected the mysterious fluid not into his brother but rather a nearby coffee mug. Then passed it to his brother who glared and sipped his spiked coffee. Red Robin returned to his chair and watched Flash with suspicion on his face. Fun. Didn't creep him out at all. No sir. Not one bit.

Nightwing turned to Robin, “When's B supposed to be back?”

Robin huffed, “Momentarily.”

His date nodded and turned to Wally, “Hope you don't mind meeting my dad?”

Wally shrugged and tried to play down his nerves, “As long as he doesn't lunge at me too I think I'll survive.”

Nightwing hummed but didn't confirm nor deny anything which did nothing for Wally's confidence. Just then the sound of an engine roaring could be heard coming from the same tunnel they had used to enter the cave. A sleek, black car came into view before parking in a designated spot. The door opened and Wally felt his heart plummet to the floor. No. No way. His date's dad was not Batman. Wally resisted the urge to groan. No wonder Nightwing had been insistent that his family was a handful. They were all part of the bat-clan! His uncle was going to tease him for this for forever!

Batman took one look at him and grunted before leaving.

It was the single most terrifying moment of his entire existence.

Nightwing was bent over wheezing with laughter, “Oh my god you should see your face! You totally thought he was going to kill you!”

Wally sputtered, “Well you didn't tell me that the Batman was your dad! What was I supposed to do! ‘Hi Mr. Batman, sir. I'd like to take your son on a date. Yes sir I'll have him home before patrol ends.’ I can't go around saying that!”

At this point Nightwing was full on cackling and gasping for air. His face was flush from laughing so hard. Wally couldn't help but admire his date's beauty. Despite the domino mask he could see Nightwing's eyes were crinkled at the corner from smiling. His face was flushed and his cheeks were rosey. Nightwing had a grin that Wally couldn't help mirroring. It was contagious. Nightwing laughed and it sounded so happy and free that Wally couldn't help but be happy too. His lips looked so soft and kissable too. Wally shook his head, no, he shouldn't be thinking about kissing Nightwing on their first date! That was bad date etiquette, Iris had taught him better than that!

Nightwing finally calmed down enough to form a coherent sentence, “So, wanna head back to Bludhaven? I know a good pizza joint there if you're still up for it after meeting my family.”

Wally didn't miss how nervous Nightwing sounded. Like he expected Wally to say no. Which, he supposed that Nightwing had probably had a lot of rejections due to his chaotic family. Still, Wally was no ordinary human and he had survived Nightwing's family so he could definitely do it more.

“I'd love to. Your family wasn't that bad y'know?”

Nightwing immediately perked up and chuckled, “Just wait until you have to come to a family dinner. It's all out war.”

Wally grinned, “You sure you want me around that long?”

“I think if you can survive my family you'll be around for quite a while.” his date said with a wink.

He scoffed, “They aren't that bad!”

Nightwing snorted, “Robin tried to literally kill you. Red Robin looked like he was thinking about it. B definitely disapproved.”

Wally frowned and they headed for the cave exit, “Your dad doesn't like me? Why not? What did I do?”

His handsome date laughed, “The only thing I can think of is that you're dating me and he just doesn't like it.”

“But I can't fix that!” He whined.

Nightwing just cackled at his plight and moved to get on his bike. Wally raised his arms up instead.

“I could carry you if you wanted?” He offered tentatively.

Nightwing shook his head, “Nah, I wanna race!”

Wally grinned, “Oh you're on! This is gonna be payback for my swift defeat during that sparring match!”

The vigilante laughed then sped off into the exiting tunnel before Wally could even process what was going on. That cheater! He'd show him where his talents really laid! Without a second glance back he sprinted out of the cave and in a blue of red he went after Nightwing's bike. He'd give it credit for being fast but the Flash was faster by far. He ran in front of the bike as Nightwing drove and watched as Nightwing was surprised to see him in front of his bike. His date chuckled before speeding up more. Eventually they called it a tie and wen on top of one of the nearby buildings before crossing over into Bludhaven.

The two of them sat chatted for a bit about silly things Wally wasn't pressed to answer. Work, civilian life, hobbies, favorite foods and colors. All questions they rapidly fired at each other. Once more Wally found himself staring at Nightwing's lips. The temptation was just so great and Nightwing wasn't even noticing…

He felt himself leaning in and his heart fluttered as Nightwing got closer too. They got closer and closer until Wally could feel Nightwing's breath warming his face. Wally cupped Nightwing's face gently.

“Can I kiss you?” He asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Nightwing gave him a soft smile, “I was hoping you'd ask.”

Then Wally felt soft lips on his. His eyes closed and he felt himself melt into Nightwing and vice versa for his date. They got impossibly closer and neither even thought of breaking their kiss.

Until a gunshot sounded and Wally felt the bullet whiz past him.

He yelped and jumped back, “What the hell was that!”

Nightwing stood abruptly on high alert, “I don't know. Do you see anything?”

He shook his head and then watched as Nightwing tensed then sighed.

“Sorry. That was my brother. Red Hood's kind of… protective?” Nightwing said, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly.

Wally felt his brain short circuit, “What is wrong with your family…”

Nightwing simply laughed, “Yeah I know, gotta love ‘em though!”

Wally didn't regret their date. Not even for a second. In fact he was already looking forward to their next one. But oh boy his family was going to be a handful weren't they? Wally sighed fondly, because yeah, it was definitely worth it. Nightwing was worth it.

Notes:

Jason: who in the hell is that kissing my brother!
Wally: *horrified*
Dick: now Jason, we don't shoot my date that's impolite.

Once again I really hope you like it! It was a ton of fun to write!
