99 is a Great Age

Summary:

Aleisa has been Googling again, this time to research a favourite celebrity figure to celebrate his birthday.

Notes:

David Attenborough turns 99 years old today, 08May2025. I couldn't resist mingling my adoration for David Attenborough with my adoration for Heartstopper by having Alesia get excited about it. The man is so well travelled it's obscene (in a way that I'm not jealous of at all) and is *actually* older than sliced bread. He is a marvel!

Combining my drabbles and my longer fics, this upload brings me to 100 individual entries. It feels fitting (even though he's 99) for a fic about David Attenborough to be my 100th.

“Dads!”

“What is it, Ale?”

“David Attenborough is 99!! He lived through the whole of World War II, he watched the first men land on the moon and more nutty than that, his children would have been able to watch. He was alive before ballpoint pens were invented. He was a teenager before there was a word for teenagers!”

“Have you been on Google again, sweetpea?” I ask, looking over indulgently at her Papa. He taught our daughter well and her curiosity knows no bounds. 

“Obviously!” she grins back. “Either way. Happy Birthday to David Attenborough!”

We clink, and cheer!
