1) The just rolled out of bed look.
Sunlight started to shine through Gen's blackout curtains that he hadn't closed all the way the last time he had them open. He groaned when he had turned in his sleep and the rays of light were now on his face, waking him up. He checked his phone, it was 10:07, too early to be up in his opinion. Especially after parting all night with his sister Luna and their friends. Ukyo and Ryusui have gotten engaged, and of course Ryusui had declared they all needed to make a whole night of it. He sits up and his head starts to throb. He lets out another groan then notices the glass of water and aspirin on his nightstand. His dad probably left them there for him. No doubt the combo was also on his sister's nightstand too.
It was always their dad helping them with hangovers, Pa, while he hated seeing his kids in pain also had the mentally of 'play stupid games, win stupid prizes'. He put the pills in his mouth, took a sip of the water and swallowed. Quickly realizing his mouth was ridiculously dry he chugged the rest of the water. Feeling a bit better with some water in him, he decides he needs to get up and go downstairs to get something to eat. Standing up so quickly was a mistake, his head started to throb again. He doesn't normally drink, but it was a special occasion and Francois made the most delicious and eye-catching cocktails.
His headache started easing up a bit so in made his way out of his room just in time to see Luna, who looked just slightly less miserable as he felt, come out of the bathroom.
"You look like shit" she said.
"Gee thanks love ya too." He replied.
She probably wasn't wrong though, he still had his pajamas on which this time is really just an old T-shirt with holes and food stains, it's really comfy though so he's not getting rid of it, and a pair of boxers. He hasn't brushed his hair yet, so he can only assume it's all messed up. He also didn't feel like taking his makeup off last night so that's definitely smudge.
Luna chuckled, "Come on, raccoon eyes, it's my turn to make the hangover breakfast.".
As they walk downstairs to the kitchen they can smell coffee in the air.
"Hmm I guess Pa pulled another all-nighter." Gen mused.
"Speaking of all-nighters, I thought you'd leave with that guy you were dancing all up on." She teased.
"You mean Mozu-chan? Nah, it was fun dancing and flirting with him and he's definitely not bad on the eyes, but he's not my type." He blushes a bit thinking of what is his type.
Extremely intelligent, and determined, piercing red eyes, hair that defies gravity, despite the owner of said hair is the most scientifically minded man he knows other than Pa.
"You're such a tease." She huffed a laugh. "But yeah not your type. Your type is-" she cut herself short once they reached the kitchen, but turns her head to look at Gen and smirks her voice only loud enough for him to hear. "Right in our kitchen."
Someone just kill him now. Or maybe one of those worm holes he's heard Pa talk about will just randomly open and swallow him and only him.
There in his kitchen drinking coffee with his pa is none other than Ishigami Senku, the young prodigy and his pa's co-worker. He's two years younger than Gen himself, making him 22, but holy moly did he make Gen feel like a school boy with his first crush all over again. They both looked up at the two that just walked into the kitchen, they have bags under their eyes probably from what ever protect they've been working on all night. Yet, Senku still looks gorgeous.
Why hadn't Gen thought to wash his face and brush his hair? And why did he have to be wearing his most unappealing night clothes?! He also undoubtedly heard that part about Mozu.
"He's gonna think I'm a hoe!" Gen thought to himself.
"Fuck me." He groans
"I don't care that you are hungover, I will not have such language this early in the morning." Pa reprimanded.
With that Luna started roaring with laughter.
He repeats his previous statement in his head and really wishes a worm hole will take him away
2) In the kitchen again but this time with spaghetti.
It's been about two weeks since the embarrassing moment Gen calls 'the crappiest hangover incident', and Luna has not let him live it down. Bringing it up any chance she got. She even jokingly said he should have gone home with Mozu the night of the party and all it could have been avoided if he wasn't such a tease. Which, yeah she has a point there, because now Senku knows he's a tease. Now if he ever gets the courage to flirt with the unfairly attractive scientist, he'd probably think Gen isn't being genuine! She also has been making fun of the fact he hasn't left his room looking anything less than spectacular. So, as a revenge of sorts, he's going to eat the left over spaghetti from last night that he knows Luna would want when she got off work.
He walks into the kitchen to find his dad cleaning one of his many guns, at the huge kitchen island. He remembers the time Dad had decided to clean them when a boy Luna liked was picking her up for a date back in highschool. Luna later informed him, Pa and Dad, that the boy was too scared to even hold her hand! A few months later she came out that she liked girls more, or well just girls. Dad made a joke of 'doing the opposite of scaring someone straight' even though she wasn't the one who got scared.
"Pa's gonna be mad at you for cleaning them there you know. Doesn't he usually want you to do that outside or in the garage? " Gen spoke while opening the fridge and grabbing the leftovers, he gets a fork out of the drawer then hops to sit on the counter.
"Nah, he won't, and he's occupying the garage for some experiment."
"Of course he is." He shovels a forkful of spaghetti in his mouth. "At least you don't do it to intimidate Luna's dates anymore."
"Unless she decides she's into dudes all of the sudden, the I just gotta worry about that with you." He starts putting the gun back together.
"Isn't that a little sexiest." Another forkful
"Not really, I just know how guys your age are since ya know, I've been a guy your age." He begins cleaning another gun. "If I were a woman I'd do the exact same thing if either of you...well Luna brought home a chick."
"Awe how sweet, but also I guess I won't be bringing anyone home." Another forkful. "But that bit about you being a guy my age implies you were the kind of guy that got threatened by your date's father." Another forkful.
Stanley shivered, "Yeah no Xe's dad was more of the type to make promises instead of threats."
"You still believe he'll come back from the grave to keep good on that promise Stan?"
Gen turns while shoving the biggest forkful of spaghetti yet into his mouth to see not only his Pa but also Senku who just smirks at him!
'Great now not only would he think I'm a tease but also a pig. I'm never coming in the kitchen again, this is the second time I've been embarrassed in it.'
"Of course, if anyone can defy the laws of nature it's your dear old man." Stanley replies. Then gives Gen a look that says 'I guess I don't got to threaten a guy that's been here enough to know by now.'
And Gen is horrified, not only did he embarrass himself in front of Senku again, but also his dad knows about his crush! Worm hole where are you?!
3) One Direction to embarrassment
Gen sat on the edge of the pool with his legs in the water next to him was Ryusui. It was the end of April and the weather was finally warm enough to use the pool. The two of them were currently watching Luna and Ukyo work on a routine for their part-time summer job as merpeople at the aquarium that the Nanami conglomerate owned. Their costumes were absolutely stunning, thanks to Ryusui who never spared any expense. Luna's costume was done in pinks and purples and adorned with pearls and shells, Ukyo's was more simple but no less spectacular had various shades of yellow and orange. After coming coming up to the suffice the duo swam over to the edge and pulled themselves up sit. Luna on Gen's side and Ukyo on Ryusui's.
"Hey Gen remember when you was obsessed with one direction back in highschool" Ukyo asked while taking a sip of the bottled water his fiance had given him.
Beside him Luna snorted. She clearly remembers that well. It wasn't his greatest phase, in fact it was his most embarrassing.
He sighed, "yeah I remember, but why are you even bringing it up?"
Ukyo just shrugged and gave a teasing smile. "Thought you'd be married to one by now."
Luna was shrieking with laughter now and so was Ryusui. Gen really wished he could go back in time and tell his past self that thinking he'd marry one of the members of One Direction is stupid and it's even stupider to tell his best friend.
"You....you thought," Ryusui was trying to calm his laughter. " You thought you were gonna marry someone from One Direction." He fell into another fit of laughter.
Gen was about to say something about how Ryusui desires it all despite how impossible that is, so why was highschool him thinking he'd marry a One Direction member so funny, but was stopped short by his Pa. He had forgotten him and Senku were out in the yard working on a rocket or something, and that Ryusui had apparently been loud enough for them to hear. And and AND!!! Senku's shoulders were shaking as if he was laughing!!
"I would have done everything in my power to make sure that never happened. Those boys are far too superficial and inelegant to be a part of this family."
To his absolute horror Senku started laughing even more! Seriously where is a worm hole when you need one?! Beside him Luna started laughing so hard she back into the pool.
Ukyo must have noticed the blush on his face because he stopped his laughter and asked "Shit, is that him?"
Gen could only mutter a "yeah"
"Sorry dude."
4) Mimicry more like I-may-cry (aka cola betrays Gen)
Gen was in the living room practicing his mimicry for a segment on one of his upcoming shows. Stanley and Luna were in there too naming off famous people, movie/TV show scenes, and moments from viral videos for him to imitate or act out on the fly. It had been just over a month since the last time he had been embarrassed in front of Senku and he couldn't be happier. So he really should have seen how the evening was going to end up.
He had just finished doing the 'berries n cream' bit too which his small audience was very impressed. Luna then played a video clip on her phone and told Gen to imitate it. The clip was very short consisting of only two words 'Daddy chill'. Stanley immediately vetoed that.
"I do not want to hear either of my kids say that." He grimaced.
Gen thanked his lucky stars for that, because at that exact moment the front door opened, Pa was now home from work which meant Senku was with him since they needed to finish a project. If Gen had done what Luna suggested then he would have heard and just thinking about that makes Gen want to sink into the floor.
"Yay Pa's home! I vote we get curry for dinner Gen can go pick it up!" Luna cheered.
"Not that I'm rejecting having curry but why me?" Gen asked.
"Because the owner's son thinks you're cute and always gives us extra food!"
Gen blushed. "That's not true!"
Xeno hummed in thought. "She has a point, we do seem to get more food when you're the one who goes to pick it up."
"Geezer, I know that look, I would hope you wouldn't turn your son's love life into an experiment." Senku spoke.
And dear Lord his voice alone did things to Gen's heart. He'd give anything to hear it first thing in the morning and the last thing before he sleeps. Sleep. Sleeping with Senku..... nope! That is a dangerous road to go down right now. But being held by him would probably feel nice.... okay Gen really needs to stop thinking right now. He should probably tune back into the curry conversation.
"I think it's ridiculous there's no way a restaurant would give someone more food just because they are cute." He heard his dad huff.
"You used to get more food no matter where we went before we got married and had a ring on your finger." Pa informed.
"Awe dad and Gen are just alike completely unaware of their pretty privilege!" Giggled Luna.
"Oh like you have room to talk you always get free dessert at that Italian place because the manager likes you!" Gen shot back.
"Oh I'm not unaware of my pretty privilege, I know I got it. It's not my fault the manager keeps thinking he has a chance with me, I told him several times he's barking up the wrong tree." She shrugs.
It took a while but it was finally decided that Gen and Stanley would go to pick it up. To test Gen's "pretty privilege" and Stan decided to come along because since he heard that that Italian restaurant manager still keeps asking Luna out despite being told multiple times it'll never happen, he's worried that something similar could happen to Gen. Gen wouldn't be surprised if that manager goes missing in the next few days if he was honest.
Once back home the five of them are sitting at the table eating and Gen was glad nothing embarrassing has happened to him. Maybe he could finally be normal around Senku. He took a sip of his cola and before he could suppress it he let out a loud very embarrassing burp.
Where is that damn worm hole?!
5) My type of guy? Nah my type of pie.
It was a nice Saturday afternoon and Gen was sitting on the porch swinging eating the last slice of peanut butter pie, he had sweet iced tea on the table beside him and an audiobook playing in his ear buds. He took a sip of the sweet tea, mmm perfect, just the right amount of sweetness, unlike that pitcher of diabetes in the fridge labeled "Xeno". He'll never understand how Pa could drink it so sweet. He took a sip of it once and it made his teeth ache.
Gen took a bit of pie and nearly squealed in delight. Peanut butter pie is by far his favorite. It was such a nice day too! Even though it was still summer it wasn't unbearably hot and there was a nice breeze. It was relaxing. Nothing could ruin this day.
He closed his eyes and listened to the audiobook. It was a fictional story about all the humans in the world getting turned to stone and it isn't until thirty-seven hundred years later that a young man breaks out of the stone and sets a goal to figure out what caused the petrifaction and revive the whole world. Honestly the main character reminded him a lot of Senku.
He took another bite of pie, and all but moaned. "If you were a man I'd marry you." He told the pie.
He was so lost in his own world on his perfect day that he didn't notice that Senku was walking up to the porch until he heard the man laughing. Now Gen can't decide if he's perfect day was ruined or improved. On one hand he loved Senku's laugh, on the other Senku was definitely laughing at him. Which means he definitely heard that almost moan and his declaration to the pie.
"That must be a good pie judging by your reaction." He said.
It's not like he's never talked to Senku, he's over at the house a lot so it'd be weird if they never chatted. He knows Senku likes doraemon, his dream is to go to space, his favorite food is ramen he even invented ramen his dad could take to the ISS! Yes, that's his natural hair and yes it does actually stay up on its own. His from Tokyo, just like him before Xeno and Stanley adopted him. Speaking of adoption Senku was also adopted. Senku also knows a bit about him. That he majored in psychology, even though he's in show business. His stage name is Asagiri Gen. He's written a book. Yes his hair is naturally half white. He loves cola. So, yes they do talk to each other. However it's not usually when Gen just embarrassed himself.
"Um...uh....yeah." Gen blushed.
"Well maybe next time you wouldn't mind sharing." He chuckled and winked. Fucking winked! Then walked around the back of the house to the backyard lab to meet Xeno.
Senku just winked at him. He has to be making fun of him. That's the only explanation. Worm hole, oh worm hole, where for art tho worm hole?
+1) Senku thinks Gen is adorable.
The first time Senku met Gen was at the Wingfield-Synder home There were some side projects he and Xeno wanted to do and since Xeno's lab at his house was better than the one Senku had at his apartment, they decided to make that their base of operations so to speak. He was never one to put too much stock in a persons looks, he went for their merit, but Gen was a different story. He was alluring, gorgeous, his cat like eyes were mesmerizing. That first meeting Senku knew he was a goner. And he knew it'd only get worse.
One morning after he and Xeno pulled another all-nighter they were in the kitchen drinking what felt like their hundredth cup of coffee. They talk about what adjustments needed to be made where, for the current project. He heard voices coming from towards the kitchen. He could tell it was Gen and Luna, Xeno had mentioned they'd been out all night celebrating their friends' engagement, and must have just woken up.
"Hmm I guess Pa pulled another all-nighter." He heard Gen speak
"Speaking of all-nighters, I thought you'd leave with that guy you were dancing all up on." Luna said teasingly.
"You mean Mozu-chan? Nah, it was fun dancing with and flirting with him and he's definitely not bad on the eyes, but he's not my type."
Senku knows Mozu, if it's the same Mozu, and he is definitely more of the one-night stand kind of guy. From what he knows of Gen, one-night stands aren't his thing, but what is his type?
"You're such a tease." He heard Luna huffed a laugh. "But yeah not your type. Your type is-" she stopped once they reached the kitchen.
Damn it so close, he saw her smirk at her brother and say something he couldn't hear.
"Fuck me." Gen groans
'Hell yes. I would love to.' Senku thought.
He would love nothing more than to take Gen out on a date, and then take him back to his apartment and do just that.
"I don't care that you are hungover, I will not have such language this early in the morning." Xeno reprimanded.
Senku starts to think that Gen can look beautiful no matter what. No matter what he's wearing, like an old holey T-shirt with messy hair and smudged makeup. No matter what he's doing stuffing his face with spaghetti, his cheeks looking like a chipmunk's. Damn he's so cute!
"I would have done everything in my power to make sure that never happened. Those boys are far too superficial and inelegant to be a part of this family." Xeno stated
Senku was laughing so hard there was no sound and he could barely breathe. He didn't know what was funnier, Gen thinking that or Xeno's reaction to it. Actually, scratch that, Xeno's reaction was the funniest. Gen was just plain adorable.
Senku was walking up to the house with Xeno, he was staying the weekend to work on yet another project.
Right before Xeno opened the door he heard Luna asking Gen to imitate a video clip and heard 'Daddy chill' play on what was probably a phone.
"I do not want to hear either of my kids say that." Stanley, Xeno's husband spoke.
Senku was thankful for that, he doesn't know if he could handle Gen saying something like that. Not that he has a daddy kink or anything, but Gen saying something that's kinda supposed to be somewhat sexual is just something he'd rather not think about right now.
"Yay Pa's home! I vote we get curry for dinner Gen can go pick it up!" Luna cheered.
"Not that I'm rejecting having curry but why me?" Gen asked.
"Because the owner's son thinks you're cute and always gives us extra food!"
Gen blushed. "That's not true!"
Xeno hummed in thought. "She has a point, we do seem to get more food when you're the one who goes to pick it up."

What happens next is Stanley denying that just because someone is pretty doesn't mean they get extra food, to which Xeno informed his husband he used to get the same treatment whenever they'd go out before Stanley had a ring on his finger. Senku noticed a hint of jealousy in his voice and he couldn't blame him. Luna said something about pretty privilege and Senku has to agree, Gen is pretty and Senku would give him whatever he wants.
Gen ends up going to get the curry anyways along with Stanley.
Senku sees Gen take a bite of pie and practically moan.
Why must Gen do this to him. He'd love to hear him moan under different circumstances.
"If you were a man I'd marry you." Gen told the pie.
Senku couldn't help but laugh at that.
"That must be a good pie judging by your reaction." He said.
He must have startled him because he looked flustered.
"Um...uh....yeah." Gen blushed.
"Well maybe next time you wouldn't mind sharing." He chuckled and winked.
Then before he could get a reply he made his way to the Lab outback.
He really couldn't take it anymore! Gen was just too adorable. He had made up his mind, the next time he sees Gen he's going to ask him out.
He and Xeno are going to launch the rocket they've been working on and Gen, Luna and Stanley are outside with them waiting for take off. Gen dramatically counts down. Blast off! It was successful. He's excited, after a moment of celebration from the group he pulls Gen aside.
"I've been wanting to ask you for awhile, do you want to get dinner with me sometime?" He was kinda nervous if he was being honest.
"You're asking me out on a date?!" The blush on his face making him even cuter.
Senku chuckled nervously. "Yeah. Yeah I am."
Senku never thought he'd forget how to breathe, but seeing Gen's smile made that possible.
"I'd love to!"
Senku smiled back and Gen grabbed his hand.
"Guess I don't need a worm hole after all!"
"Worm hole?" Senku asked.
Gen giggled. "Don't worry about it."
From a short distance away he heard Luna cheer jumping up and down clapping her hands and Stanley smile knowingly.
"Hmm I can honestly say I didn't see that coming." Xeno mused.
Stanley raised an eyebrow at him. "Really Xe?"
