Chapter Text
It’s April 9th, 2027.
Antonia found a new life working for Valentina since the snap, everything had been fine. Routine missions going as expected.
When Valentina sends her on a mission to a Oxe Warehouse to take out the one and only, corrupted John Walker, Antonia thinks nothing of it, just a regular routine assassination, right?
Oh, was she wrong.
Well, she sees Natasha’s sister, Yelena, and some…woman with ghost like abilities.
Most importantly her target, Walker.
She focuses on trying to kill John walker, who was her target, but the Ghost woman wouldn’t leave her alone.
After flinging the Ghost woman across the room with her shield, Antonia approaches her target, John walker with her sword.
Before she can get close enough, the ghost woman appears in front of her, and shoots her.
It happened so fast, she had no time to react.
She immediately drops, and everything goes dark.
She wakes up in the vault to rubble and ash around her, all alone.
They thought she was dead, they left her behind. Yelena was there..she remembered seeing her.
But Yelena left her too.
Well it’s kind of understandable right? They thought she was dead…
But they also just left her body there to rot.
Though, something clearly happened for the place to end up in the state it was…it wasn’t like this before she died passed out.
She looks down at herself.
And her suit was definitely intact before she had a bullet put through her head.
Some parts of her suit were burnt, with different sized tears in different parts of it.
Her holsters feel empty.
She reaches back to where she stores her sword, and it’s gone.
One of her gun magazines is gone too.
She curses under her breath.
Those… people must’ve stole her stuff.
She still had her shield at least, and her bow.
Something drips from her forehead and onto her eyelash under her mask, she blinks, before pressing a button on her suit and retracting her mask.
….?
She wipes at her forehead, and looks down at her gloved hand.
Blood.
Oh yeah, that’s right. She got shot.
She taps a finger at where she assumes the blood is coming from
Something hard— metal
The bullet.
Oh.
Oh, shit.
Okay, so there’s a bullet lodged in her forehead, what can you possibly do in this situation?
She was alive, so clearly it wasn’t fatal, but it still hurted like a bitch.
She needs to get out of here, and get that bullet taken care of.
She slowly stands up, brushing off as much of the ash as she can.
She looks around.
It was smoky, the air thick and humid.
She coughs, wheezing a bit, before she decides it’s best to put her mask back on to make sure she doesn’t inhale anymore smoke.
A lot of rubble and scraps, some still on fire.
Did this place blow up or something?
Never mind, she doesn’t have time to worry about that.
Those doors that she came through were closed…
She could pry them open, but she doesn’t have her sword.
Maybe she could use her shield?
That probably wouldn’t work…
Damn it.
She catches sight of an electrical circuit box.
Huh.
It was broken, like someone slammed into it.
Maybe that’s how Yelena and those others got out.
A sharp pain goes through her head, and for a moment all she sees is white.
“Ugh..” she groaned
When her vision came back, she found herself bracing against the concrete wall.
She needs to get that taken care of, fast.
But first she needs to get out of here.
Antonia pushes herself off the wall, straightening up.
She stands in front of the electrical panel, and starts fiddling with some of the wires.
She’s never been much of an…whats the word? Engineer, but she knows the basics.
At least she thinks she does.
One of the wires sparks against her gloved hand and she involuntarily flinches, even though she couldn’t feel it.
She sighs, before trying again.
It takes a while.

Antonia finds herself sitting against the concrete door, knees pulled up to her chest.
She didn’t like feeling hopeless.
But it was really starting to seem like there was no way out, she was all alone, most of her weapons that could’ve helped her in this situation gone.
It’s unfair, that shot to the head should’ve killed her, but here she is, alive and breathing.
Though she wishes she wasn’t.
After what seems like hours, (but was only minutes) she finally works up the motivation to try again.
She messes with the wires again.
There was a mini circuit inside the electrical box, one that looked like it could definitely be connected to the door.
She bites the inside of her cheek, thinking.
She pulls out one of her mini knives from her pocket, and stabs it into the circuit.
Nothing happens.
She backs up, the knife still lodged into the circuit.
It didn’t work—
A whirring noise.
Antonia looks over to the door, and sees it slowly starting to open.
Antonia cocks her head at the sight, before wasting no time getting out.
She immediately steps out as soon as it opened wide enough for her to get through.
She steps out into the hallway, sighing inwardly in relief.
She looks around before her gaze lands on an elevator shaft
Wasn’t there an elevator there?
She couldn’t remember, her memory was foggy.
She approaches the shaft, peaking in for a moment before stepping fully in and looking up.
What the hell—
She sees the bottom of who she assumes is Yelena, and then those other people, their arms intertwined as they used their legs to gradually push themselves up the shaft, only halfway up.
Should she call out?
That ghost girl is up there, the one who shot her.
Probably not the best idea, right?
She looks back at the hallway, and sees that there’s no where else to go.
Looks like she doesn’t have a choice, does she?
She looks back up at them, she can faintly hear murmurs of what seems to be a chant, but she can’t tell.
Finally she calls out.
“Uh…Hello? Yelena? People?” She yells up to them, her voice slightly muffled from her mask.
They pause, and Yelena is the first to look down at her.
it’s silent for a moment.
”Antonia?!”
