I broke up with my boyfriend and I don't know how to get him back now
Okay, I know this might look extremely weird at first glance, but bear with me.
My boyfriend and I have this, "game", if you could call it that, were we break up every week or so. This usually happens over the phone, because we call frequently, in the call we might get into a small argument and he would go, "you know what? We're done!" and I would reply with, "Yeah, we are!" or something between those lines. But a couple of minutes after him or I would call back apologising, wanting to "get back together" even though we never broke up in the first place, because it is just a game we have.
But this time — I don't know what happened.
So, our anniversary was coming up, and we usually go big with it. But this time we have both been really busy and we hadn't have time to plan something out, so we were just, talking like normal. He was leaving work while I was on my 15 minute break. He was telling me how he was sad about not knowing what we are gonna do situation, which then I just replied jokingly, "well, we can always break up and don't have to celebrate it, right? haha!"
After the words left my mouth, there was a very, very, heavy silence in the line I thought the WiFi had stopped working at work. I tried bringing the conversation back to life by calling him a sweet nickname, but he just said, "if you don't wanna celebrate our anniversary, you could've just said that." I was so shocked by his tone I couldn't even reply back before he continued. "Yes, I guess we can break up, then." and he hang up on me.
I was a bit scared at first, but since this is a little game of ours, I just called a couple of minutes to call and tell him I want to get back together, but he didn't pick up my call — so I called again, and again, until my calls didn't go through. I was panicking so much, I still am.
We live together so I was hoping for him to come back home so we could talk, but nothing. He hasn't come back home and I don't know what to do I'm really stressed. I tried contacting one of his friends, (even though they don't really like me, lol) to try and check up on my boyfriend but they just said to leave him alone.
What can I do? I really didn't think he would take this as a serious statement, I don't want to break up, I don't want us to be over, he's my everything I, help.

What in the world did I just read— bro. WHO SAYS THAT TO THEIR S/O. I think this little game of yours is weird as fuck to begin with, but ig every couple has their own stuff. But even so, you two are talking about your ANNIVERSARY, you know how damn important that is to the majority if not ALL (bcs why wouldn't it be) of people in relationships? it's an important ass date! I don't know what you could do but just try to get in contact with your (ex) boyfriend, oh, and definitely prepare something for the damn anniversary. well, if you even get to celebrate it.

Breaking up with your boyfriend to begin with as a 'joke' every now and then is, questionable, but wow. This is another level. I really don't know what advice to give, but to just let your ex process the comment you just made at him, he probably feels like you don't give a fuck about the relationship.

Someone enlighten my friend for good.
I'm posting this for my friend who FINALLY broke up with his boyfriend of EIGHT. YEARS. they've been attached to the hip ever since I can recall, it drives me CRAZY. I don't like him, not one bit, I think my friend deserves way better but he doesn't seem to get that.
Me and another mutual friend we have, were happy they finally got broken up for good, because damn. I don't really know what it is about this guy, but he just gives me an off vibe. But anyway, my friend is at the moment with me and is now regretting breaking up with his bf in the first place, can someone PLEASE let him know that HE SHOULDN'T.

Uhm, I think I'm gonna need a little bit more information as to why he broke up with the boyfriend? because right now, it just seems that you just don't like him. Although if they broke up in the first place there might be a reason why.

My friend and him were on a call, my friend complained about how they hadn't have planned something and he was feeling rather sad, and then his ex bf went "we could just break up and not celebrate" like? what the fuck.

well, if i had to answer your question, probably just their time? but since you probably are asking about material stuff, then i'd say a nice bouquet of flowers is always welcome. However, knowing your case, maybe just make him a little dinner to talk things out.

Ignoring my username, I would always ALWAYS recommend ppl to gift their partner a little special thing, it doesn't have to be anything over the top just something that will remind them that you really know them and like them. I really like jewellery and such — my partner got me a necklace for our anniversary with his initial on it and i find it adorable.

So, the OG post is here.
You guys won't believe the insane amount of things I did in the past couple of hours just to try and get my boyfriend's love back. And, somehow? I DID!! WE ARE BACK TOGETHER MY LIFE ISN'T OVER.
I apologised a billion times when he came back home, I looked like a messed covered up in flour because I had been trying to bake some chocolate cupcakes and he still decided to give me a kiss </3
I love my boyfriend never make me break up with him again.
