Lights shined brighter than ever in the hotel.
The lobby was filled with cheer and laughter.
Bottle and Saw both joyfully sung together while each holding a gallon of eggnog, their voices higher pitched than ever before as they stammered during each and every line.
Golf Ball, though she was quiet, also seemed thoroughly entertained, her unmoving eyes staring blankly at the Christmas movie playing on TV’s shiny new screen.
Accompanying her was Tennis Ball, who was nuzzled into her comfortably, though his attention was mostly directed at Bottle and Saw’s drunken singing.
Even Pencil seemed mildly amused, looking up at the tree lights she installed proudly.
Book glanced at her for a moment with glee.She finally seemed to be warming up to the hotel, and to her teammates.
Everyone seemed to be having a good time.
Two’s gaze flickered around the room happily.
Everyone was finally getting along!

Hmm…
‘I bet this party could still use a few more games, though…’they thought to themselves.
‘And a few more decorations…’
…
They audibly gasped as the lightbulb went off in their head.
‘I know!’A smug grin stretched across their face.
‘Heheheh…’
They rubbed their hands together slyly, and proceeded to sneakily place a mistletoe in the centre of the room using their telekinesis.Thankfully, no-one seemed to notice.
Well…
Not yet, at least…
Now, all that was left was to wait until two people were lucky enough to walk under it together.

After a short while of waiting, the mistletoe had finally found its targets;Coiny and Pin.
Two stared at them keenly.
To get to Firey and Leafy, who were on the other side of the room, just behind the spring of holiday cheer, they'd have to walk directly underneath it.
And Two was praying to God that they wouldn’t see it, and avoid the special tradition.
After all, they’d waited so long for two lucky contestants to walk underneath it!It just HAD to work, right?

They locked their eyes onto the duo as they stepped towards the other pair of best friends.
One step.Then another.
One moreeee…
…
✨BINGO!✨
Two flung themself off of the sofa, and in the direction of the two best friends.
“HEY!Look, you’re both standing under something extra special!”they excitedly gestured to the sprig of mistletoe above them.
They both curiously looked up.Then at each other in shock, as they turned a dark shade of red.
How the hell had they not noticed that?!It was RIGHT THERE!
And what in the world were they going to do?!
They couldn’t kiss each other in front of the whole room right now, right?!
I mean, neither of them would really mind it all too much, but what if the other wasn’t so comfortable?!They couldn’t do that to each other!
Guess they’d just have to ask each other.No matter how awkward it’d be.
Two sensed the hesitation from the two, and cleared their throat.”I mean, it would be nice for you to do it and all, but you don’t have to if you don’t wanna!”they gave them a confident thumbs up.
Coiny and Pin glared at each other for a moment with an unreadable expression.
‘Should we…’
‘If you want…’
They awkwardly exchanged telepathic messages with each other as Two stood there bashfully.Had they done the wrong thing?They just wanted something cute and fun at the party-
“We’ll do it.”the two deadpanned at the same time.
Huh.That went better than expected.
“After all…it’s just tradition, right?”Coiny attempted to play it cool.But he really couldn’t deny the heat rising in his face.
“Okay then!”Two carefully took a step back to watch the scene unfold.

Coiny gently rested his hands on Pin’s waist, as the two became closer and closer.
Pin awkwardly closed the gap between them, initiating the kiss.If this didn’t end up going so well, the blame would at least be averted from her best friend.
…It didn’t seem to go so badly, though.
The kiss was…relatively short, they were in a room of people, after all.But they cherished the small moment of bliss while it lasted.Just a moment to focus on themselves, and nobody else.
An unfamiliar warmth rose to the surface of their skin as they pulled always.
Pin sent one last telepathic wave, having had a little bit of a spark be lit inside of her.
‘Uh…well…p-perhaps we could do this again some time-‘
[CLICK]
Wait.What was that?
They turned to the source of the sound.
There stood Leafy, camera in hand, giggling away.
“S-sorry, haha!I-I just couldn’t resist!”
Oh, great.
They already knew they probably weren’t going to live this down, but this was probably-no definitely going to be shown to EVERYONE now.How wonderful.
The two stood there awkwardly, faces flushed as Leafy sweetly.
“Whelp, that went well!”Two chirped as they head towards the party exit.Their work was done!
Gaty, who’d went to get more snacks for the Christmas party, spotted them from the hallway and rushed in.
“Two!There you are!I got the stuff!”she carefully balanced the plate of food on her head.
“Oh, great!Thanks, Gaty!You can just put them over there-“
“HEY!”
A voice suddenly called out.
It was none other than Firey, who gestured wildly above them.
As the two looked up, the realisation hit.

Oh.
They were in the centre of the room, weren’t they?
Well, this is awkward!
