So we know that Giyuu ran away from his village after they tried sending him away and he almost died from freezing to death till he was saved by the hunter who gave him to Urokodaki. Now I don't if Urokodaki got Giyuu the proper medical treatment considering medicine back in the 1900s and late 1800s wasn't the best. There was even cases where they buried people in coma because they thought they were dead, only for these people to wake up and find themselves buried underground. isn't this scary?? Back to topic, while i was reading comments on that video i saw someone say "I feel like he does because in the first season, he's very pale, and doesn't look like the cold affected him."
Now it is possible for some people to actually not feel affected by the cold after experiencing a near-death from Hypothermia, makes sense in season 1, first episode he was very pale and when he knocked out the Kamado siblings we don't know for how long he was standing there waiting for them to wake up. Considering the fact he even covered Nezuko to not get cold?? So, now that I did research I can feel this might be more true than a head-canon. i am very disappointed we didn't get more in depth of Giyuu's past along with his sister, it just felt like his backstory was rushed to me at least.

Ok, so people are saying Giyuu is stupid, and idk, that bullshit is kinda stupid. Just because he's emotionally not the smartest doesn't make him stupid?? He's socially inept, that's all to it. Like, just bc he's not socially good with people doesn't make him stupid?? I know so many people who are socially inept and cannot talk with others, but they are extremely smart. Anyway, what I'm going to say is that he is in fact smart, either in battle IQ or normal IQ. He IS smart; he just acts like an airhead. I mean, we already know that he doesn't bother when fighting and never uses his power to the fullest because he doesn't give a shit. I believe that is also the same case with this. He is smart; he just pretends to be an airhead and aloof to avoid having attention on him. 💀
Like if we read the manga, he is very patient and thinks very logically; he doesn't jump to conclusions. He thinks before acting up and all. Just bc he isn't socially smart doesn't make him stupid, like, God forbid. So many people are just bad at socializing due to either anxiety or whatever. Besides, if we were to think about Giyuu's past when his sister died and he tried to tell the villagers what happened, everyone accused him of lying and being "crazy" and said that he went "mad." Considering we don't know 95% of his past, it could be VERY POSSIBLE that the reason he talks like this is because of the way he was treated as a kid. After all, we DON'T even know what those people did to him before sending him to his distant relatives.
So yes, I personally believe he is a very smart character and very logical when it comes to a lot of situations; he just doesn't give a shit about showing off how smart he is, mainly because he doesn't want attention or because he doesn't want to be treated the same way as a kid after he lost his sister. Who knows? 🤷🏻♀️
BUT HE DEFINITELY IS NOT STUPID.
