Summary
When Theresa died, she briefly dreamed of endless light and where the souls of her brethren were laid down after the end of life. She thought she would be part of them, the ‘myriad’, of a long line of Sarkaz who have died for their beliefs.
She hoped Amiya and the others would be well. She could only hope.
But when she awoke, she was not greeted by the hatred of her ancestors or the light of her fellow Sarkaz who had been assimilated into the myriad.
“Hello. Can you hear me?”
She awoke to see a human gazing at her, surrounded by metal in a ship all the way up in space, far beyond the barrier that cradled Terra.
The human calls herself Priestess.
