Summary
When Elara flees her abusive husband with her two children, nowhere to turn except the one place she fears rejection most—the Woodland Realm of her late twin sister's husband, King Thranduil. Bearing her sister's face but carrying her own scars, Elara finds reluctant sanctuary in a kingdom where the king can barely look at her without seeing the ghost of his beloved queen. But when her vengeful husband arrives demanding their return, Thranduil makes a shocking proposal: a marriage of protection and convenience that would shield Elara and her children forever. What begins as a coldly practical arrangement slowly transforms as reluctant proximity forces them both to see beyond painful reflections of the past.
In the halls of the elven palace, where old wounds run deep and new dangers lurk at every turn, two broken souls discover that healing—and love—can bloom in the most unexpected places. But when Elara's first husband makes a desperate final move, Thranduil must decide whether protecting his heart is worth losing a second chance at happiness.
A tale of healing, redemption, and unexpected love in the world of Middle-earth, where sometimes the strongest hearts are those that have been broken and mended with gold. -
