Work Text:

Edgeworth woke up to the sound of giggles coming from the living room and no husband next to him. He sat up to find a note on his bedside table
‘Be back later ,had to grab something from the shop. Love you - Phoenix’.
He smiled at the note, they had been married for only a few months but they had been some of the best moments of his life and their wedding was unforgettable. Edgeworth smiled at the thought as he grabbed his glasses and slowly made his way out of bed.

He walked into the living room to find the culprit of the loud giggles sitting on the plush, velvet sofa still in her pyjamas.
“Good morning Trucy dear”, she completely ignored him entranced in her ipad.
“Trucy?” Edgeworth said a bit louder walking closer to her, Trucy looked up with a bright smile on her face
“Good Morning papa!!” she spoke grinning from ear to ear, she jumped off of the sofa to give him a big hug.
“Come look at what i've been doing” she said a bit too excited for the time as she dragged edgeworth over to where her ipad laid.
“Calm down Trucy it is far too early for all this” He groaned groggily,
“Hehe sorry papa”.

“What on earth is this” Edgeworth was confused as ever watching his daughter show him her ‘Tycoon’ as she called it.
“This is my Hello kitty cafe, see isn't it cool” she carried on,
“I spent forEVER doing this and I've almost finished it” she spoke with an emphasis on the ‘ever’ which Edgeworth chuckled at.
“I see… and is that all you can do?” he asked with a slight interest.
“Uh-uh there's so many different games OH and you can change your avatar to make it look like anything you want” she said with a hurried excitement.

Trucy ended up showing Edgeworth her ultimate favourite games which consisted of, adopt me,work at a pizza place and natural disaster survival. Out of all the games Trucy showed him the one that stuck out the most was natural disaster survival,
“This game, what is the uh goal? Is there a point you must reach or is there some sort of skill needed..” He questioned trying to seem as interested as possible.
“Nu-Uh you just need to survive just-” She paused mid sentence “PAPA.” Trucy looked at him her face beaming with excitement while his was a look of terror from the sudden shout,
“Trucy please” he huffed “you almost gave me a heart attack”,
She looked at him sheepishly.
“Hehe sorry papa but we can make you an account and then we can play together”.
She giggled and all Edgeworth could do was smile, ‘what did i do to deserve this’, He thought about his family and how lucky he was to have such a wonderful daughter. Sadly this was short lived as Trucy shook his arm snapping him out of his thought,
“Papa play roblox with me” she said restlessly, “Please please please please”.
Edgeworth sighed in defeat, “Seems i have no choice, why don't you show me how to create one then”

For the next hour the room was filled with laughs and giggles, the two had played multiple games of different kinds such as an obby (one of which Edgeworth was terrible at,Trucy's taunting didn't help him at all), they had played bloxburg and Trucy had lots of fun showing her papa around her house, the last game they had played was dress to impress, which Edgeworth had to admit he did enjoy that one quite a bit.

“Papa vote me 5 stars”, was almost all Trucy said while playing. They had done duo outfits, single outfits which always ended with trucy winning and her always celebrating. All Edgeworth could do was snort as he watched his daughter cheer and dance around,he never wanted this moment to end.
When Trucy and Edgeworth had first met almost two years ago now after Wright's disbarment she was always a bit weary around him, he never blamed her though it was no surprise she was especially with all she had to go through. But overtime she warmed up to him and in no time had his name changed from ‘Mr.Edgeworth’ to ‘Papa’. He was a bit baffled with phoenix’s choice in adopting her at first but now he couldn't be happier with it. He considered himself the luckiest man in the world because he had the greatest daughter and husband a person could ask for.
Nothing could ever change the love he held for his family.

Phoenix opened the door to the apartment, both arms taken up by bags of food and a magicians book he had found for Trucy. He left the stuff in the kitchen and walked into the living room where his husband and his daughter sat.
Trucy looked up and after placing her ipad down in a hurry she immediately ran into his arms,
“Hello daddy” she giggled as he picked her up smothering her cheek in kisses,
“Daddy that tickles” she laughed playfully pushing his face away.
“Sorry sweetheart i just missed my angel so much” he chuckled putting her down after giving her yet another big kiss to her forehead.

He looked at where his husband sat and smiled as he bent over and kissed the man's temple.
“Hey baby” he smiled into his hair “what have you both been up to while i was out”.
“Hello Wright” was all Edgeworth said to him, too busy looking at his phone playing a game Phoenix immediately recognised as he had seen Trucy play before.
“Haha what game has Truce got you so roped into that you cant even give your hubby a kiss” he said in a joking tone as he sat down next to the silver haired man.Trucy followed suit and sat between her dads,
“He bought me robux and then we started playing royal high and then we became princesses together and then-” she spoke fast, very obviously excited that her papa was so invested in her favourite game.
“Alright Truce slow down” he laughed at his daughters excitement as he looked up at his husband and smirked, “and what would papa be doing right now that he can't even look up from his screen”,
“He's trying to win prom queen”, just as she said that Edgeworth groaned as he turned his phone off and crossed his arms,
“Those.. Other players wouldn't know true fashion and style even if they had it shoved in their faces” he grumbled clearly angry.
Trucy and Phoenix both looked at each other giggling,
“Miles you do know they’re kids, of course they wouldn't appreciate your amazing taste in outfits” Phoenix said in an obvious sarcastic tone which made Trucy giggle even more.
“Don't worry papa you are the bestest at these games” she gave him a big hug which he gladly reciprocated,
“Not as good as you dear, you are truly the master at these games.” he said with a soft smile. Phoenix cuddled up to Edgeworth on the sofa now with Trucy between both of them. He couldn't have asked for a more perfect family,he truly considered himself the luckiest man in the world.
