Work Text:

Chan had finally settled into their nest, fully leaned back, his hips supported by a specialized pillow.

“Hyung, do you need a heating pack?” Hyunjin brings the pack closer, guiding Chan’s hand toward it for the omega to scent. The omega quickly pushes it aside and instead grabs Hyunjin’s hand. “Don’t wanna. Just need my alphas…”

“Told you he wouldn’t want it, Jinnie,” Seungmin whispers as he adjusts the nest near Chan’s thighs. His slick is already pouring out of him, soaking the bedding underneath.

The wet fabric rubs against Chan, and the omega frowns, gently kicking at the alpha. “Stop moving it. It’s fine where it is.

Seungmin pulls away and holds his hands up. “Sorry, Channie,” he placates.

During the last few months of his pregnancy, the omega had become extremely irritable, constantly changing moods and electing to primarily stay in his nest.

No complaints came from the pack, however, as they knew just how much effort and work their leader had put in for them to have their first pup. Luckily for them, JYP had given them all extended leave to take care of Chan and their pup (on the singular condition that he got to meet the pup).

Chan's head snaps toward the apartment door as whoever is on the other side struggles with the keys. After a few seconds, it opens, revealing a panting, sweating Changbin.

“I ran from the gym all the way here. Has it happened yet? Is he okay?” Changbin gasps for air between sentences as he rushes to take off his shoes and put his gym bag away.

Smiling, Hyunjin looks up at the older alpha. “You’re the second home, Binnie. Minho is busy calling his parents and Hannah.”

Changbin freezes at those words, his shoulders drop, and he sits down, curling up against Hyunjin on the outskirts of the nest.

“Anyways, he just went into labor. We’ve still got a long way ahead of us,” Seungmin speaks up from his position above Chan, his hands working hard to massage the omega’s shoulders, desperately trying to ease at least a little of the pain.

Minho peeks his head out of the kitchen, hanging onto the wall. Only his head is visible. “I called his family, told them what’s happening. I’ll call them again when the baby’s here. Anyone else I should call, Channie?”

Opening his eyes, the omega hums and slightly turns toward Minho. “Call Bambam. He said he had some extra newborn diapers from Saerom we could have. Also, I think he would kill me if we didn’t tell him.” He chuckles and shifts back into place.

“Of course. I’ll tell him he can drop them off after our pup is here.” Chan’s sweet scent and the noise of him purring lull the conversation into silence as Minho goes back into the kitchen. The pack, content on waiting for the other alphas, falls into a peaceful stillness.

A few hours later, the apartment door finally opens again, and Jisung and Felix stroll in silently. Felix heads to the kitchen, his arms full of baby food and regular easy eats for Chan. Jisung, instead, goes straight for the nest, crawling in between Chan and Minho, the alpha sound asleep. Chan, however, is wide awake. He groans at the pressure in his uterus.

“Hi, Channie. How’s my baby?”

“Who says it’s yours, huh? Could very well be any of y’alls.”

Jisung scoffs and pushes Chan’s hair back from his sweaty forehead.

“Maybe I was speaking about you, baby.”

Chan presses his face into the alpha’s shoulder. “Could be better. Will be better once Innie is home. I want my pack.”

“I know, Channie. He’s almost here. He texted me a little bit ago. He’s about fifteen minutes out.”

As he says that, Felix comes back from the kitchen and settles down on Chan’s other side, scooching Seungmin away.

“Don’t worry. Our Innie is almost home. You know he can never stay away from you for long.”

As he says that, once again, the door slams open. None other than Jeongin stands in the doorway. “Told you.” Felix giggles to Chan before he pulls away, making room for the last alpha.

Jeongin finally kicks off his shoes, piling them at the door, and fumbles into the nest, pushing up against their pack leader.

“Sorry I took so long, Channie-hyung. Bambam-hyung called and had me pick up the newborn diapers left over from their pup.”

“Hm. You see Youngjae and Saerom?”

“Yeah. You were right; she does look just like Jackson. Youngjae-hyung was sleeping though. But Bambam-hyung said good luck.”

Chan just hums again and bares his neck in response.

“Scent me, Alpha.”

Jeongin just smiles and buries his face into Chan's scent gland, rubbing his nose against it. Chan’s scent billows through the room, practically covering the rest of their scents. The sweet honey and milk scent fills the air, lovely to their noses.

Suddenly, Chan groans and pushes away, curling into himself and grimacing. “Contractions are getting closer and worse.”

Minho shoots straight up at that, quickly untangling himself from Changbin and turning toward them. “Do you need more space?” he asks, ready to force the other alphas to set up another nest for themselves.
Chan just nods.

The two awake alphas quickly get up and start waking the other alphas, pulling them away so they can gather bedding and start scenting clothes. The work is done silently and hurriedly, trying not to bother the omega but also wanting to get back to him as fast as possible.

Another few hours pass slowly. The contractions get worse and closer together, and Chan’s scent turns sour with pain. His hands grip tightly at the nest, nails tearing the blanket under him. His muscles tense and relax.

“Minho… I think it’s happening.” Chan’s hands grip the alpha’s wrist tightly as he adjusts so his knees are spread open. Minho just smiles and gestures for Seungmin to move near Chan’s thighs.

“Oh, sweet babe, you’re doing so well,” Felix murmured, voice soft and sweet as he gently wiped the sweat from Chan’s forehead.

On Chan’s other side, Changbin sat quietly, letting the omega dig his nails into his arm without flinching.
Chan cried out, his head thrown back into the blonde alpha’s lap, tears streaking down his flushed cheeks. His whole body trembled with the next contraction.

“I am never having another pup. I hate you guys so much,” he whimpered.

Changbin laughed, leaning in to press a kiss to Chan’s cheek. “You didn’t hate us during your heat.”

Chan elbowed him hard, but barely a second later, another cry tore from his throat.

“Minnie, I need to push! It hurts, Alpha.”

The omega’s voice cracked into a high-pitched whine as he flailed against the pain. Seungmin sighed, steady and unshaken, as he moved closer, gently rubbing Chan’s thighs and holding them apart.

“Okay, Channie. If you think you're ready, you can start pushing.”

“I HAVE BEEN READY!” he shouted, chest heaving as he tensed and pushed with all the strength left in him.
The alphas gathered instinctively.

Hyunjin stood ready with a warm towel, hands steady.
Jisung and Jeongin moved quickly, fluffing and warming the tiny pre-made nest.

Minho knelt beside Seungmin, laying down soft towels and preparing scissors with quiet focus.
Seungmin’s eyes widened. “Binnie-hyung, Jinnie-hyung, I need you to hold his knees. I can see the baby’s head.”

“It’s okay, Channie. We’ve got you,” Changbin said, shifting into position.

He gripped Chan’s right thigh as Hyunjin did the same with his left, his palm rubbing circles beneath the omega’s knee.

Chan sobbed openly, raw and desperate. “I want my baby already.”

Minho moved in as Seungmin guided his hands to support the crowning head. Chan pushed again, harder, his shoulders shaking.

“You’re so close, Channie-hyung,” Seungmin whispered.

“Just one more push. He’s almost here.”

With one final cry, Chan bore down. The room fell still, the only sounds being the soft gasps of the alphas and the quiet rhythmic thud of Chan’s heartbeat, which felt like it was blasting in his ear.

Then, the baby wailed. Sharp and loud, full of life. Relief washed over Chan like a wave.

Hyunjin worked quickly to clean him; Jisung cut the cord with practiced hands. Minho cradled the newborn carefully in soft towels.

Chan collapsed into the nest, every muscle going limp with exhaustion.

“Give me my pup,” he whispered, hand trembling as he reached forward. “I want to hold him.”

Felix and Jeongin were already moving, carefully propping Chan up with warm pillows and blankets. The nest, once scattered in urgency, was now a cradle of peace.

The babe is quickly placed in Chan’s waiting arms, cradled close to his chest. He leans down, scenting him immediately, nose nuzzling the small patch of brown hair with a soft, contented hum.

“You’re so perfect, Kyehoon. My little Sun, oh my god, I love you so much already.”

Felix rubs gentle circles into Chan’s back as he leans over to get a better look at the baby’s face.

“Oh, Channie, he looks just like you. He’s such a cutie.”
Jisung throws himself as close as he dares, careful not to jostle Chan or the pup.

“Look! He has a birthmark on his foot, it’s so small!”
A tiny red blob marks Kyehoon’s left heel, faint but distinct.
Seungmin giggles as he pulls a soft blanket over Chan’s thighs.

“Another thing from Channie-hyung. Maybe he’s not even ours, maybe our omega made him all by himself.”
Chan laughs, turning his head toward Minho.

“Wanna hold him?” he asks, soft but already moving to pass the baby to the head alpha.

The alphas hands go to support the babe's neck and cradles him against his chest, a huge smile covers his face as the babe yawns.

The pack finally settles around the omega, Felix hands come up to gently massage Chan's shoulder as hyunjin coos at kyehoon from over minho's shoulder.

“Next time, I want an epidural.” The omega whispers to Jeongin

‘Next Time!?”
