Chapter 1: Chapter 1: Rise of the Snakes
Chapter Text
The cold wind blew softly on his face, making his hair slightly messy. It's been a long while since he came up here, to this stupid monastery on this stupid mountain. So many stairs, he feels like he'll climb them forever. That's until the monastery gates came into view.
He really never expected to come back here, he promised himself he wouldn't. But desperate times lead to desperate measures. Such as asking help from his uncle.... He snapped back to reality when he heard some growlling from the sky, which made him look up. He saw dragons, four.
"Huh... Looks like you found your little ninjas uncle. Tch.... They look stupid on those gi's." He mumbled to himself. Reluctantly he looked back at the gates of the monastery. Okay Tommy... Just knock, ask your question, then leave. It's easy right?
He didn't even have the chance to knock before the gates opened from inside. He cursed under his breath when he saw a girl. He was taller than her, but she seemed, friendly, and surprised. Of course, it's not everyday you open gates of where you live at and there's someone standing there, coincidentally....
"Oh, uh, can I help you?" She asked hesitantly, surely didn't expect Tommy there. She wore red clothes, had a black hair and striking blue eyes. Hm... Maybe that old man left...?
"Uh, yes actually. Is there any chance an old man called Wu still lives here?" The girl seemed to be more relaxed after I mentioned my uncle's name. Yeah, he surely is still here, and she's either a student or, something. "Yes, yes he does. Are you an friend or, something?" "Sort of..." Tommy mumbled before looking inside and seeing the old man walking towards them both.
"Nya, would you excuse us? I would like to talk with him." The girl nodded and Tommy watched as she walked away. He know this monastery with the palm of his hand, she's in one of the bedrooms. Must have one of her own while those ninja share the other. "Glad to see you again dear nephew. It has been a long long time hasn't it?" Wu tried to step closer to give what seemed to be a hug, before Tommy stepped back, refusing to give the old man one.
"You owe me answers. And I'm here for them." Tommy glared at the man who sighed before stepping back to let him enter the monastery. The gates closing behind him with a loud thud. "This place didn't change at all..." "I'm glad you feel at home nephew." Wu smiled softly, putting a hand on the young boy's shoulder and guiding them both to his room, where some tea and talk waited them. "It's not what i said..."
...
Tommy spent a while drinking tea with his uncle, like old times. Not that he wanted it, but Wu wasn't the kind to back down from wanting something... "Okay old man. We had tea and talked, just like you wanted. Now you'll give me answers won't ya?" Wu sipped his tea calmly, like they both had all the time in the world to discuss.
"Patience nephew. You're too anxious. The tea was supposed to calm you down a bit." Wu put his tea down and looked at Tommy. As if expecting him to magically calm down.
"Oh, oh I'm so sorry uncle. I didn't know the tea was supposed to calm me down. Would you like that? Having me calm?" Ezra mocked before scoffing. "I would be calmer if you stopped wasting my time! I want to know where Lloyd is!" Before the old man could even move his lips, a distinguished sound of distress was heard from the training area. As soon as they got there the place was on fire, literally. Oh first spinjitsu master, those are the oh so Ninjago saviors? They can barely handle the golden weapons!
Tommy watched as his uncle used the Shurikens of Ice to put the fire off. It was obvious the man was angry, especially when he shouted asking what were they thinking. "We were just trying to figure out who's the green ninja!" The one in blue spattered out, receiving glares from the others. "D-Did I say green ninja? No, sorry, ahem, what I said was lean."
"You weren't supposed to see that, you are not ready." Wu sighed as he turned away. Wow they're all just ignoring me and my existence, how great. Tommy scoffed mentally, before noticing how the one in white stared at him curiously. Except that one... I guess... Tommy just watched as master Wu went to enter his room once again, being disappointed in the ninja. "If this is what it must take for you to train then so be it! But none of you are near the level of what it takes to be the green ninja..."
With that, his uncle entered his room and closed the door, leaving Tommy alone with a bunch of useless and stupid colored ninja. Who can't even control their own weapons."Uh, is no one else questioning this emo kid being here?" The one in blue said, was he always trying to be the clown?
They all turned to face Tommy and he just glared at them. "Yeah, who are you? What are you doing here talking to our sensei?" The one in red immediately stepped up, as if he was some sort of leader. What? He thinks he can intimidate me just cuz he's taller? "I'm Tommy, and I'm just paying my uncle a little visit. Nothing wrong with that."
"Wait- did you just say, uncle??" The one in black gasped out. "Then that must mean-" The one in white could barely finish his sentence before the blue one screeched like a squirrel. "You're Lord Garmadon's son!" They all gasped in unison. The red one just glared more intensionally at him. "Oh wow, we've got a Sherlock Holmes here." Tommy scoffed, oh how he wanted to wipe that glare off his face. "One son is already a surprise, but two??? How can someone be brave enough to have kids with the Lord Garmadon???" Tommy glared at the ninja, not really knowing who said that but he wished he did, to fucking punch them in the face But they were interrupted with his uncle, who came out of his room desperately.
"The serpentine are back! Everyone in Jamanakai village is in danger!" The serpentine? Oh no, that's not good at all. "Calm down sensei, we were just there! It was just some kid saying he's—" "The spirit smokes does not lie. An ancient evil has been released!" Can't those kids just go?!
"Wait, Nya's in there right now!" The red one immediately went for the stables, along with the others. "Should I go with them uncle?" The old man sighed. "No Tommy, they must learn to fight evil. They must learn to fight again." "What, they're out of shape? Wow, would've never noticed it until you said so." Tommy mocked, immediately receiving a glare from his uncle. "Sorry."
"Even so, I'm glad you were willing to go with them to fight the serpentine nephew. Though I'm surprised, didn't you swear to never fight again?" Tommy shrugged. "It's the serpentine, and they're just a bunch of useless colored ninja." Wu chuckled. "Well, let's go then, they wait for us." The man guided Tommy to the stables, both getting in his white and golden dragon.
"I don't understand, why are we going there? You said they needed to learn how to fight again?" "Yes, I did, but I know the fight will be over once we're there. And also, I must introduce you to them, mustn't I?" It was a long flight to Jamanakai village, and Wu was right. Once they got there ,the fight was over. The red one came to their direction, giving Tommy a glare before turning to Wu.
"We're sorry sensei. If we dealt with Lloyd before he became a problem, none of this would've been necessary." "Even lessons learned the hard way, are lessons learned." Wu glanced at Tommy, who must've been driven out of his thoughts upon hearing his brother's name. "Hm. A great evil has been released. I fear troubling times will soon arrive. This... Is only the beginning of it."
All of them gathered around Wu, while Tommy stood back, along with Nya (he found out that was her name when they mentioned she being in Jamanaki village). "Then we will train! And be ready for the serpentine." The white one said as he handed the serpentine staff to Wu. "It may not be Lord Garmadon, but that doesn't mean we won't bring our A game!" The black one cheered.
Tommy looked around, seeing it he could find Lloyd, but he didn't. He must've run with the serpentines, the ninja did say he was controlling them somehow? "There's much to teach. We must return to the monastery." They all started walking towards the dragons, and Tommy was about to walk away. It's not like he had a reason to go back with them. He had a clue where Lloyd was, and he would follow it before the trail was lost. But the white one touched his shoulder. "Aren't you coming too?"
Huh? Tommy looked back at him. Why did he want him with them? Didn't they all glare at him once hearing he was Garmadon's son?? "Why would I? The only reason I went to talk with the old man was to find any clue where Lloyd might've been. Now I know where he is, and I will bring him back." "Well, but you don't know where he is. You only know he is with the serpentine, and they didn't even leave a trail behind them..." The one in white watched as Tommy sighed, he seemed distressed, tired, exhausted maybe. "I'm Zane by the way, did introduce myself properly." He reached a hand to shake.
Tommy glanced at the gloved hand, extended out for a handshake. "Zane huh... That's a nice name." Tommy shook his hand and watched the other ninja trying to get in their dragons but the dragons played with them. "I don't think I should go with you all. I'm Garmadon's son remember?" Zane just tilted his head. "And does that make you any less human?"
Tommy froze for a second. "Hm... I guess it doesn't exactly does.... But... Still, my uncle may accept me, but what about the others huh? Having their nemesis son sleeping under the same roof as them? Not really nice I would say." Zane chuckled. "I'm sure me and Sensei can talk them out. You need a place to stay as far as I've noticed. You're exhausted and anxious. Just stay until we find your brother."
Tommy sighed. "You're persistent like Wu. Did he teaches you all that?" Talking about the devil, Wu walked into their direction. "Something's wrong?" "Sensei. I believe we could let Tommy stay with us. He only wants to find his brother doesn't he? And Lloyd is right now with out current enemies. If we defeat the serpentine, we can bring Lloyd back." Tommy noticed the small smirk-like smile the old man gave him. He surely knew Zane would try and make Tommy stay with them.
"Uuugh, fine fine. I'll stay with you all. Just until we bring Lloyd back okay? After that I'm leaving." Wu nodded. "Very well nephew. Zane, would you give him a ride with Shard? Nya's already with me. And I also think it's an nice opportunity for you two to know each other." Wu chuckled and walked back to the others.
Well... Seems like I'm staying put for a while... Whatever. Tommy shrugged and walked with Zane back to his dragon, Shard. Who seemed at esse around Tommy, even nuzzling against his hand for pets perhaps. "Hm, how unusual. The dragons usually don't like strangers." Tommy chuckled as he petted Shard and glanced at Wu with a knowing look. "Let's say, I have a way with dragons. Heh."
Chapter 2: This is not a chapter just a small warning ;p
Chapter Text
Heeeey, so, I haven't posted chapter 2 yet, no I didn't give up on this fic, much for the contrary, I've been thinking a lot about it lately.
The thing is that I've been re-watching Ninjago and noticed how some things are unpleasant and don't make sense, so, I decided to do something (a recommendation from a close friend), that something is re-write Ninjago, like, the whole thing.
The first chapter has everything from the series, even the dialogue, I copied it all from the episode 1. But while doing the same to chapter 2 I noticed it was pretty boring and dull, so I'm just gonna write the next chapter different, with dialogues and actions that I think would fit better than the original, I do hope that won't be a problem to whoever is reading my fic 😅.
I may also try to redo chapter 1 in case it doesn't fit with the rest, but I think that won't be necessary? In case it does then please warn me in the comments. Also I want to let you guys know, I'm not a good writer, but I really really wanted to do this, I'm more of a drawing person, but I can't make comics, so I wanted to make my Ninjago oc known somehow.
Well that should be all, I'll post a separate work later to write everything I changed from the original (I guess it's an AU now? Is it? I'm not sure, I'll consider it one). Anyways, Amy changes to the characters, history, seasons and scenarios will be there, I'll try to post some drawings as well, because I want to do some redesign on the characters too (and also post Tommy's appearance ☺️). This is pretty much all, hope it isn't a problem.
Chapter 3: Chapter 2: Home
Summary:
Tommy is now forced to stay in the monastery, with a uncle he hasn't talked to in ages and a bunch of teenager's that makes him question if he's truly one of them or an adult. He and the ninja will have to coexist with each other until they find the serpentine and Lloyd, until them they'll put aside any differences, or make things worse...
Notes:
Heeeey, I'm back! Took me long enough I guess, I'm not even sure if anyone who read my fic will see that I released a new chapter, I hope so they do! Well like I said I'll be doing a little rewrite like thing while writing this fic, not everything will be like the series, but as far as I'm aware that's normal in AO3, or else I'm in the writing in the wrong place– well I hope you enjoy ;)
(See the end of the chapter for more notes.)
Chapter Text
Tommy's POV:
It's been a week, a whole week, been living in the monastery again, because this incompetent group that call themselves ninja are so useless, they can't even find a kid with a bunch of snake people, what's so damm hard about it??? They have dragons! They can fly anywhere! Just check the places close to Jamanakai village and they'll surely find them.
But there's no point in arguing with them, they're teenagers, and yes Tommy is also one but they actually act like teenagers. In times like these he wishes all kids had to grown up too fast like him, that way he wouldn't find people his age so annoying and idiots.
He had to share a room with the ninjas, they played rock paper and scissors to see who would either share a bed with him or give it up, the red one lost, but he was too damm proud to share a bed with Tommy, so he slept on the floor, such gentleman.
At least Tommy learned their names, the minimum right? Well, the big one, with a quite fluffy black hair and green eyes, his name is Cole. Jay, is the small one, but still manages to be taller than him, amazing, he'll be short forever. Zane, well he said his name in Jamanakai village so, he already knew it. And then, there's the red one... Kai, brunette, short temper, always keeping an eye on him in case he tries to do something evil.
A week was enough for Tommy to know their personalities as well, their roles in the group and little quirks. Cole loved eating, and tried to cook, but whenever he did it felt like he was trying to poison them. He especially lives cake apparently, anything sweet actually but cake really stands out. He's been, nice to him, a bit wary but, nice, better than a certain brunette. He's the elemental master of earth, and the bear of the group (if, that makes any sense).
Jay is a great mechanic, which is kinda funny considering he's the elemental master of lightening. He's very energetic, probably something to do with his elemental power again, and FSM he talks, oh how he talks, at least that makes him talk with Tommy even though he's the son of their enemy, he's the most curious one about him. He's the clown of the group for sure.
Kai is, the most annoying one. He hasn't talked nicely to Tommy ever since they met. He glares at him, mumbles bad things under his breath as if he can't hear him, and that thing about sharing the bed as well, like, geez, Tommy isn't a monster, he won't bite, just share the bed instead of sleeping on the floor. He's the elemental master of fire, which explains his temper, and he's extremely certain he's the green ninja, hah! As if destiny would choose someone like him to be the chosen one. He's the flirty of the group.
Zane is, the nicest one for sure, he's kind and cares for the team, but, he's a weirdo. Not in Tommy's view! He likes how Zane is, it's like how he was when he was a kid, a weirdo, always left out, always thinking differently than the others. But the ninja find him weird, say some mean things behind his back but they don't really mean it, it just, the guy gets on their space sometimes. He's a great cooker, FSM, Tommy would choose Zane's food as his last meal for sure. He's the elemental master of ice, and the parent of the group somehow.
And then there's Nya, he doesn't know much about her, just that she's Kai's little sister and isn't a elemental master, which, is weird? As far as Tommy is aware? Her mother was the elemental master of water, and since Kai is the elemental master of fire then she should've gotten her mom's powers. But when he questioned it to his uncle, he told him to stay quiet, something about the ninjas needing to believe they're special and that there's no other elemental masters, such bullshit, but if it's making them work hard then okay.
—
Tommy groaned as he woke up, his eyes opening and adjusting to the light, he always hated how the monastery let so much sunlight in, even in the bedrooms.
As he sat up, rubbing his temple, he noticed he was alone in the bedroom, well, half alone, Kai was still sleeping on the floor.
Did they go training and left him here? Oh, right, he stayed awake late training, I guess Wu let him skip morning training because of that.
Tommy sighed, he probably should wake him up so he sleeps in bed for the rest of the morning. Maybe... Okay he'll do it.
He got up and crouched next to the guy, who, was kind handsome when he wasn't glaring at him for nothing or cursing his whole bloodline, or, whatever he does. He poked him on the shoulder, hoping it was enough to wake him.
But Kai didn't even flinch, so he shook his shoulder, and again, nothing. What the hell? Did he take sleeping pills or something? FSM, okay, well, guess I'll put him in bed myself then?
If he said that out loud for someone to hear they would laugh. Yeah, Tommy is shorter than Kai in height, and Kai is probably more built than him too, but Tommy always had a inhuman strength? Not inhuman maybe, just, he's stronger than he looks, so much that he easily got Kai into his arms and put him in the bed, and the guy still didn't wake up, damm.
With that Tommy left the bedroom, he heard training outside so, must be the other three. He'll get something to eat and check on them.
—
He made some toast and ate it with butter, pretty good actually, better than anything he's been eating since his father turned into Lord Garmadon and he went on this quest to find his brother. Couldn't let the kid be raised by a bunch of idiots could he? It's his brother.
When he opened the door to the training area he immediately ducked as one shuriken almost hit him in the face. "What the fuck– hey watch out!"
"Oh– sorry! It was an accident!" Jay apologized as he dodged some other weapons that were being thrown. Where were they coming from– oh.
It was Zane, he was spinning around and trying to hit the targets but, the weapons were hiring anything but the targets.
"Oh FSM.... Whoa!" Tommy muttered before he dodged another one.
"He's been like that all morning, again! Always in his own little world, we can't even train like that."
"Well I'm done for today, not gonna train while he is doing that, won't risk my life, nuh-uh."
Both Cole and Jay just, went inside while complaining, a lot, and Tommy just stood there, seeing how Zane stopped using spinjitzu and was, bowing to a target? Maybe I should go check on him, yeah, I should.
Zane noticed someone approaching and he lightened up when he saw it was Tommy. "Oh, good morning Tommy, up already? You don't have to train like us so I assumed you would be sleeping till breakfast."
"Yeah, it was my initial plan but, guess my body, I dunno, got on automatic and woke up on its own, you know, from the time I lived here?" Tommy shrugged. "So, was that spinjitzu?"
"Yes, you know spinjitzu?" Zane's attention was now fully at the smaller man infront of him, as if he hadn't even thrown all those weapons around.
"You ask in the 'do you know about the existence of spinjitzu' or 'you know how to make spinjitzu'?" Tommy teased, tilting his head slightly. He learned that Zane was, a bit funny when speaking, very formal, and sometimes didn't make himself clear.
"I, suppose both maybe?"
"Well, the answer is yes then. I do know about the existence since I lived with my uncle for a while, after all both he and my dad do spinjitzu so. And I learned how to use it too, but it's been a big while so please don't ask me to demonstrate."
A chuckle left both of them. It was nice having someone to joke with like this. "And about breakfast, that you mentioned earlier, I already ate some toast, no need to make me anything."
"Toast? Tommy that's barely enough to hold you until lunch, I'll make something more filling and nutritious." Zane head off to the kitchen and Tommy just followed along while trying to convince the blonde that he was fine with what he ate. Didn't work.
—
The day, passed quite fast, it's like Tommy blinked and it suddenly was night, and Zane was making dinner, a dinner that smelled very good. While the others were playing games in the living room, Tommy was setting up the table, to help Zane, he can't exactly cook so, he won't help in the kitchen.
"Hey Zane, I already set up the table, need help with anything more?"
"No it's fine, I'll finish here and call you and the others. Thank you for the help Tommy, I appreciate it."
"No prob, I needed something to distract me anyways. Well I guess I'll warn them that dinners almost ready then." Tommy walked off to do as he said. First was the living room, where Nya Cole and Jay where at, the ninja playing a game while Nya watched. Then was his uncle's meditation room, where he was, well, meditating. And, next was Kai.
He can't believe he slept all day, that stupid training of his to prove he's the green ninja will get him killed at this rate, just like....
Uhg- why did that suddenly pop up? Shut up stupid brain.
"Hey hothead, wake up, dinner is almost ready and I'm only calling you once." No answer, just a mumble that Tommy couldn't understand what was said. "You can't sleep all day, Zane is gonna drag your ass out of bed, and if he doesn't I surely won't."
Kai groaned in annoyance and cursed under his breath. "Shut the fuck up... FSM can you be any more annoying???"
"Yes actually, if I managed to annoy the Lord Garmadon himself then I can annoy you as easily." A smirk crept up in the face of the ebony haired boy. "Slept well at least?"
"I would've if I slept in my bed." The red ninja snarled, sitting up while stretching. "The floor is fucking my back up."
I offer to share the bed, he says no, and then complains about the floor being too hard? Well fuck you too I guess.
"Why won't you fucking share the bed? I mean c'mon, it's big enough to fit us both, and not only I'm smaller but also thinner than you, I won't get much of your space." No matter how much point Tommy had, Kai wouldn't listen.
"I'm sure that as soon as I turn my back you'll stab me and then kill all the others, your Garmadon spawn."
"What the– oh no, you did not just–" Tommy laughed in disbelief. "Okay listen here you fucker. My father's business? They're not goddamm mine as well, they're only his. Whatever he does, I'm not involved, and neither is my brother." He stepped closer to the brunette who was still sitting in the bed, and clearly regretting his choice of words.
"I'm only fucking trying to have my brother back and give him a childhood without living on the streets because he got kicked out of a school that clearly didn't care about him or his well being. Your back hurts? Fine, sleep on the bed, I'd rather sleep outside than share a room with you again, fucking asshole." He didn't give the guy a chance to answer, he just left to the dining room while mumbling some calming words to himself.
—
Kai's POV:
Dinner was, awkward. He shouldn't have said that to Tommy, not at all. Garmadon spawn? What was he even thinking? The guy's right, his father business is not his fault, or his brother's. Maybe he should apologize, sure, but it wasn't the right moment, not during dinner and infront of everyone.
But he doubts they would notice, they were busy laughing at Zane using a pink apron, which he laughed too, it was funny, because not even Nya wears that.
But apparently Tommy didn't find it funny, he just kept eating his food and then went to the kitchen to wash his plate. Wow that, was fast, guess he was hungry. He took one lok at the others having a food fight and got up, deciding to go to the kitchen as well, it was his chance to apologize.
He'll still keep his eyes on Tommy though, he still is the son of Garmadon no matter what.
When he got there Tommy was already leaving but the exit was blocked by Kai, accidentally. "Oh, hey Tommy."
"Oh, it's you. Mind stepping aside?" Yeah, by Tommy's tone he's, pretty mad.
"Actually, look, I want to apologize yeah? You can blame me, you, you're the son of our enemy, and you appeared right after we defeated him, so, it was kinda suspecting yeah?" He'll probably fuck this up even more but who cares? It's worth the shot trying to apologize. "We can, uh, share the bed you know. You're sensei's nephew so I won't let you sleep on the floor, but I also can't sleep there anymore, my back will break that way."
Tommy was surprised, he tilted his head as if trying to see anything on Kai's face that screamed 'lying!', but apparently he found nothing.
"Well... Apologies accepted. And, okay, if now you want to share the bed, I'll do it, I agree that you'll fuck your back if you keep sleeping on the floor."
Oh thanks FSM, he accepted my apology, good, wouldn't want sensei to be mad at me.
—
Tommy's POV:
Next day Ezra woke up and found no one at the bedroom, not even Kai this time. Would be okay if he had heard training noises outside after he got up, but he didn't.
"Okay... Weird... Maybe they're finally looking for my brother."
"Actually they are."
Tommy let out a yelp and almost jumped like a cat after seeing a cucumber. "Oh FSM, Nya you scared the hell out of me."
"Sorry, just overheard your mumbling." She walked to grab some stuff, to make coffee. "Zane said he followed a bird last night when throwing away the trash and it led him to some base where Lloyd and the serpentine were at, him and the others went there after waking up."
"Really??? Finally, I swear to the FSM I'll ground that boy till he's my age." Tommy sighed in relief. But, now, it was awkward. Him and Nya didn't talk, they didn't know each other, at all. "So... Uh... What, what do you usually do around here? To have fun I mean? Since you apparently aren't under Wu's training to be a ninja."
Nya seemed surprised at the question, but, also kind of glad? That must be the first time someone aks how she feels about being left out.
"Oh, well, I, usually build some stuff, or use the training equipment, but I never get close to any of their records..."
"That's rough.... And, what do you usually build?"
"Oh, nothing much, I mostly sketch out projects actually! Would you like to see them? Some, other time maybe?"
Oh dear, they were bonding! "Yes– I would love to. And hey, I was under Wu's training for a long while, if you want I can give tips on how to pass one of the ninjas records at the training equipment." The black haired boy saw the girls eyes almost shine with his suggestion on helping, she almost immediately said yes.
But, nothing good lasts forever. Wu showed up suddenly saying he sensed the ninja needed help, and saw it on the smoke as well. So he and Nya left, on his dragon.
Of course he stayed behind, by his will okay! He just woke up and doesn't feel like helping anyone fight, even though he would've loved to see his brother and convince him to come back... But he feels like Lloyd doesn't even remember his face, especially now that he's older. Next time I'll go.... Huh– what was that?
Tommy heard some noise coming from the back of the monastery, loud noises. "What the– is someone in there????" He hopes not, but when does the FSM ever listen to him?
He saw a tail, a serpentine tail, and he quickly followed it to the kitchen, where– OH FSM IT WAS ON FIRE. THOSE SCALY BITCHES SET THE PLACE ON FIRE!
"OH NO, NONONONO—" Tommy ran to get the fire extinguisher, but he got face to face with a serpentine. "You little– you better run, or else I'll beat you to pulp–"
He didn't have time to say anything more, he just felt something heavy hitting the back of his head and making him fall on the floor, almost unconscious. There were two serpentines, of course there were, they never went alone anywhere.
"You little– ugh!" He groaned in pain, watching as they ran away. "Cowards... Oh FSM.... That hurts."
He managed to sit up, and thank god he was only a little dizzy, because the whole place was starting to burn, and now it doesn't matter if there even is a fire extinguisher or not, it won't stop this fire, and Tommy need to get out, NOW.
—
No one's POV:
They were all on their sensei's dragon, almost arriving the monastery when they saw a huge smoke coming from it's direction.
"Wha– I anyone else seeing this???" Jay yelped.
"Oh FSM. The monastery!" Cole exclaimed and finally the place was on their sight.
Nya, Jay and Kai went to free the dragon's, Zane used his shurikens of ice to put at least some of the fire out, while Wu and Cole went inside to get Tommy, or at least see if he was inside.
Cole helped Tommy out but the fire was already out thanks to Zane.
"What the hell happened here?! How did this happen?!" Jay was yelling questions and he wasn't even sure at who. When him Kai and Nya saw Tommy they immediately got worried.
—
Tommy's POV:
He wasn't sure when he got out or when the ninja got back, but he's glad they did. He was a bit dizzy from the hit in the back of his head but nothing too serious, he hopes. But when he heard everyone yelling and asking what the hell happened, he wished he was unconscious right now.
"I swear to the FSM if all of you don't shut up my head is gona explode..." He muttered and it was barely audible, if he didn't fall unconscious with the smoke then the hit in his head will make it happen very soon.
"Nephew what happened? We left and everything was okay." Wu sounded genuinely worried, which made Tommy a bit happy...
"Serpentines... Two of them were in the kitchen... Heard some noise and when I went to check the room was on fire..." Tommy groaned in pain, his body getting more and more heavy against Cole's, but the guy could handle him, he was the strongest there.
"Well why didn't you stop them??? I thought you knew how to fight–" Kai let his words slip out, and Tommy couldn't be more annoyed at the brunette.
"Well maybe because– ugh. I thought it was only one, and the other sneaked behind me and hit the back of my fucking head...." Zane was already checking his injury, asking Cole to slowly lower him down.
"Well this would've never happened if you hadn't followed that dammed bird!" Jay exclaimed at Zane. Wait at Zane? What did he even do???
"Jay's right, you've been in your own little world for the biggest while! It's making us stop training because you're throwing weapons at us without realizing! Or you're entering the bathroom while we're using it, or you're eating all the food and staying in the freezer, or you're following a bird and getting us out of the monastery while it gets set on fire!" Kai pointed a finger at Zane who seemed confused and genuinely hurt.
Tommy just wanted to defend the poor guy but his head started spinning and the sides of his view were getting black. Before he knew it, he fell unconscious.
—
No one's POV:
Everyone stopped yelling when Tommy fell unconscious. Cole setting him down on the floor, Wu and Nya going to check in him while Kai and Jay reluctantly kept their distance. And Zane– waitz where's Zane???
It took a roar, and a sudden wind for their attention to go to the white ninja who flew off on his dragon, they would've gonna after him, but the other dragons were disoriented from all the smoke they inhaled. So for now they focused on Tommy, and rescuing whatever's left from the monastery...
—
Kai's POV:
Zane had come back a few hours ago, we all apologized for our behavior, we were real assholes. He's our brother and no matter how much of a weirdo he is, we all are!
He led us to a ship, which was abandoned, so we took it as our new home. He had made delicious pies and other stuff, but as much as I didn't want to admit it... I was worried about Tommy. The serpentine hit him pretty hard and it's been already 5 hours since he fell unconscious.
So after eating, I went to the room we left him at, just to check, and I sat down on the floor next to his futon.
"FSM, you're not gonna wake up? Sensei is pretty damm worried about your ass, Zane and too, even Jay! Somehow you got your way in everyone's life huh.... Well not mine, I'm still keeping my guard up."
Even with those oh so mannish words, the brunette took one glance at the guy and crumbled. "You better wake up soon, so I can apologize properly yeah? Well, I'm going to sleep now so... Good night I guess." He got up, but not before making sure the blanket covering Tommy was covering him fully.
This was a pretty wild week.
Notes:
Okay, so, I changed my way of writing, I decided to put multiple pov's because seeing only Tommy's POV was a bit boring on the first chapter? I'll let it warmer that yes, the Zane mentioning he's been an orphan all his life thing did happen but it was kind of off screen, sorry. I would've put Tommy to fight the serpentine that set fire on the monastery but I got lazy and I still don't know how to write fights, I'll try next chapter though! Lloyd's pov didn't appear because well, I want to focus on him only after they get him on bounty with them. Hope whoever's read this chapter or my fic in general enjoyed it, I apologize for any mistakes, again, english is not my first language. I'll try to write the third chapter as soon as I can! Byeeee
