Summary
Everyone sees it—except for them.
Third year at U.A. is supposed to be about preparing for pro hero work, but for Izuku and Katsuki, it’s a lesson in heartbreak. They're inseparable, orbiting each other like it’s second nature—sharing glances across classrooms, sitting too close at parties, nursing each other's wounds after training. To everyone else, they’re obviously in love.
But Izuku convinces himself it's just friendship—deep, fierce, maybe a little obsessive, but still platonic. Katsuki? He’s too far in denial to even see it. Every time he catches himself staring, every time he feels that overwhelming need to protect, to care, he calls it something else. Brotherly instinct. Habit. Nothing more.
Izuku thinks Katsuki doesn’t want love. Katsuki thinks he doesn’t deserve it.
And both of them are left aching, convinced their feelings are one-sided.
Because if it was love… wouldn’t they know?
