The phone was ringing, Matt realized.
It must had been ringing for a while now. It was ironic, really, that the man who could hear the sound of a human heartbeat from across the street, wouldn’t hear the voice coming from the phone that was placed right in front of him, announcing his best friend's name. But that was no ordinary night, to be fair. He guessed, no matter how tense things were between them, Foggy probably wanted to know if he was alive, what happened. He let the voice die out, sitting on the floor of his apartment, his back to the wall, in the darkness.
