Work Text:

It was midnight. Ches and Glam were walking through the town to the conservatory. They were both up to a night of mischief….

As they were walking, Glam began to complain. “Ugh, I can’t believe you talked me into this!”

Ches turned around to face Glam as he continued to walk backwards. “Oh, come on, Glam! I’m getting you out of your sheltered comfort zone!”

Glam looked down to his side and began to rub his arm up and down. “I just don’t know about this…. what if we get caught….?”

As Glam said this, he and Ches finally made it to the conservatory. They both came to a stop. Ches looked at Glam. “Relaaaaax, dude. Everybody gets nervous their first time~”, He smirked at the blonde.

Glam’s eyes widened, and he blushed very hard upon realizing what Ches meant. He rapidly shook his head. “Ugh, you pervert! Just shut up and tell me the plan!”

Ches raised his arms defensively and chuckled. “Heheh, alright, alright! We’re just gonna go in a few rooms and see what we can ‘borrow’,” Ches winked at Glam as he said the last word in his sentence. The latter rolled his eyes in annoyance. “And then, we’ll go right back to my trailer when we’re done. It shouldn’t take too long…. are you ready?”

Glam took a deep breath and sighed. He nodded. “Mhm.”

Ches smiled. “Perfect~ Let’s rock and roll!”

Both boys walked up the stairs to the front entrance. Ches began to pick the lock. He had a lot of experience doing this. It was almost concerning, at least to Glam.

Ches successfully picked the lock and brought his fist down in triumph. “Haha, yes!” He opened the doors and began to walk inside the building. Glam followed closely behind him.

Ches slowly shut the doors. He and Glam began to walk down the dark hallway, trying their best not to make a sound. That is, until Glam began to complain.

“I can’t see a thing in here! Did you not think to have us bring flashlights?!”, Glam whispered in an annoyed tone.

Ches looked around as they walked down the hallway. “Oh yeah…. guess I didn’t!”, he whispered back, playfully, earning an annoyed groan from Glam. Suddenly, Ches looked over to a room. “Let’s go over here….”

Glam nodded his head. Both boys made their way to said room. Ches unlocked the door by using his impeccable lock-picking skills. Once they were inside, Ches turned on the light. “There. Is that good enough for you, princess~?”

Glam gave him an annoyed groan and glared at him. “Shut. Up.”, he said through gritted teeth.

Ches’ eyes widened in shock, and he raised his arms defensively. “Okay, okay! Jeesh, who knew blondes could be so scary….? Let’s see what we can find in here….”

The two of them began to lift objects and move them around to find some adequate instruments for the band to play with. At some point, Ches found a paper with what appeared to be writing on it.

“Woah…. Glam, come check this out!”

Glam looked up with curiosity and put down the picture frame that he was holding. He walked over to the short brunette.

Ches began to read the title of the paper out loud. “’List of the best students according to the results of the entrance exam….’” He then read the year. “’1960….’ Oooh~ Vintage~”

For some reason, that year sounded familiar to Glam. Suddenly, he looked at Ches in horror once he realized the connection it had to a certain someone in his life….

“Ches…."

“Let’s see who made it big this year! This is so cool!”

Glam grew more worried. “No, Ches, it really isn’t…. we should just get what we came here for and-“

Unfortunately for the tall blonde, his pleas fell on deaf ears. “Come on, dude! Why worry when we have this awesome piece of information that most people who come here nowadays don’t even know about? This could be in history books when we get older!” Ches cleared his throat in a comical manner and began to read the name of the person who was in first place. “Gust-“

Glam tilted his head back as he pulled on his hair and gave a frustrated groan. He then shot Ches a very angry and fed-up look. “Ches, enough! It’s none of our business who the best students were that year! If you really want to know so badly, ask one of the teachers later today! I’m sure that won’t be awkward!”

Ches’ eyes widened in shock. He never saw Glam have an outburst like this before. He then gave Glam a concerned look with a touch of guilt. “Glam…. I-“

Suddenly, the door burst open. Two security guards appeared, pointing their flashlights directly in the two boys’ faces. They both shrieked and shielded their eyes with their hands. One of the security guards spoke up. “I thought I heard strange noises! You two better come with us right now or we’re gonna have a problem!”

Both boys looked terrified. Tears began to form in Glam’s eyes. He couldn’t risk getting in trouble like this. Not when his life was just starting to change for the better....

Ches looked at Glam and grabbed his hand. He began to make a run for it. “Glam, run!”

Glam immediately did as he was told and followed Ches as they ran to the other side of the room. He held onto Ches’ hand for dear life.

The two security guards ran towards them. “Hey!”

Ches quickly grabbed a guitar and handed it to Glam. “Here, hold this!”

Both boys ran out the door and down the hallway from where they entered the building. One of the security guards yelled out to them. “What the hell?! Come back here, you little brats!” They both ran after them.

Ches and Glam both jumped through a window, breaking the glass, and made it outside of the building. Realizing that the two security guards weren’t too far behind, Ches came up with a brilliant idea and decided to pick up Glam and carry him over his shoulder as he ran. Glam yelped.

“Ches! What are you doing?! Put me down!” The tall blonde wiggled around.

“Sorry, Glam, but it’s much easier this way. Trust me. Thank God you’re as light as a guitar pick….”

Glam yelled in a panicked, squeaky, and high-pitched voice. “Just RUN!!!!”

Ches immediately picked up the pace. The figures of the two security guards began to fade away in the distance. The short brunette focused on getting the two of them back to his trailer. One thing is for sure, it would be a long time before they did something like this again.

But hey, at least they got a pretty sick guitar out of it!
