Summary
Tara Carpenter and Amber Freeman were high school sweethearts who thought they had forever ahead of them. But life had other plans. After graduation, they drifted apart, pursuing different dreams and eventually ending their relationship. Five years have passed, and the two haven't spoken. Not even as friends.
Tara has carved a stable path for herself. With a career in accounting, as well as having a second job, she's on her way to becoming a psychologist. She's engaged to Wes Hicks. In the back of her mind, a small, nagging doubt lingers: Did she and Amber make the wrong choice all those years ago?
Amber took a different route. Now she's the owner of a building that is a mix of a coffee shop, a music shop, and a store selling band merch. She has also made a name for herself in the music world. Her band, Radio Killer, is a rising force in the metal scene, with songs based on horror movies. Amber's success has brought her wealth and recognition, but her personal life is still marked by the unresolved past.
When their paths unexpectedly cross, the two are forced to confront old feelings and new realities. Can they rekindle what was lost? Or are some things too broken to fix?
