Work Text:

There was a quiet hum in the air, along with quiet buzzing from machines being used. Even with the building busy as hell, it didn't stop the workers from doing their job in silence, with little questions for the customers.

“Almost done.” Jisung said, finishing off a tattoo for the current customer sitting in his chair. “So, I assume this was the first time you've been worked on by me?” He asked, since he never really saw this person in their shop before, but he was also so busy with his clients.

“Yeah, if it looks good, I'd probably continue to get them done by you.” The person lightly teased. Jisung lightly chuckled, finding the other male quite amusing. “Well, let's hope my work is good enough then, hm?” Jisung replied back.

Jisung started to lightly hum to a song that was playing, but was still entirely focused on his work. “And… . Done!” He said with a bright smile as he turned off the tool and placed it down.

The person sat up and looked at the new tattoo that's on his arm. “Woah, damn.” He started, and proceeded to look at the other. “Looks like you're going to have a regular, because this is amazing, man.” He said with a bright smile.

“I look forward to you being a regular then.” Jisung started, before placing antibiotic ointment, and then placing a bandage over it. “Hopefully you’re aware of your aftercare instructions?” Jisung asked, while making sure the bandage was good in its place.

“I'm aware, don't worry.” He said, reassuring Jisung in a way. “Got it, good to know.” Jisung started, before standing and motioning the other to follow. They made it to the front desk, and gave the other some paperwork to sign.

“Just sign this and you're all set.” He started, and passed the other a pen for him to use. “I'm sure you're always aware of this, but if you want another tattoo any time soon, please wait at least 2 to 4 weeks before coming back.” He said, receiving a nod for the other.

“Got it, well, until next time.” The person said, while giving the paperwork back to Jisung along with the pen. “Until next time.” Jisung replied back, with a light nod.

Couple years later

“Ji, your man is back, again.” One of Jisung's co workers said from the other side of the room. “I can't tell if you love or hate me at this point.” Hyunjin said upon entering the room.

“How about both?” The worker said in a teasing tone. “How rude.. Sungie, she's being mean again..” Hyunjin complained as he walked over to Jisung's station. “Well this is your what, 5th/6th time coming in this month?” Jisung teased, gaining a pout from the older.

“Meannnn” Hyunjin whined, as he sat down next to Jisung's chair. “Whatever you say, drama queen.” Jisung lightly teased. Hyunjin then sighed. The tattoo parlor wasn't exactly busy, but it wasn't slow either.

Jisung wasn't working on anyone at the moment, but that doesn't mean he won't be soon, and Hyunjin was aware of this. “Jisungie.” He said, warning a soft hum from the man in question.

“Can we get matching tattoos?” He asked, and patiently waited for Jisung's response. “You just want a little more ink in your skin don't you?” Jisung asked the older, to which he got a ‘No’ in response.

“Sungie, I want one because they're all cute, and I want to share something like this with you..” Hyunjin said, noticeably getting shy. Jisung lightly chuckled, before bringing his hand to Hyunjin's head to pat him.

“Sure, why not. Do you have any in mind though?” Jisung asked, to which Hyunjin eagerly nodded. “I was thinking about the sun and moon, but a bit of a twist.” Hyunjin said, earning a small hum from the other. “Jagi, should I be asking what it is, or should I just wait and find out?” Jisung asked.

“Wait and find out.”

Once the tattoos were worked on and done, Hyunjin was ecstatic to find out they came out how he wanted them to. Sure it was a sun and moon, but both had stars, but also the Yin and Yang symbols in the middle of the sun and moon.

“It's pretty..” Jisung managed to say, even though he was entirely speechless. Leaving Hyunjin to chuckle in response. “I'm glad you like them, I wanted to add my own creative touch to it so..” Hyunjin rambled, and would probably go on more if Jisung didn't stop him in the process.

“They're amazing, Hyung, really..”

“Good.. They should be.”
