Jiyoung watched himself in the mirror. He felt the same as he had for years since he left: the same jiyoung who moved his arms at the same time, making the same facial expressions.
It doesn’t change the fact that ever since he left, Jiyoung hadn’t felt the same.
G-Dragon is on his world tour, “making his mark” people said… but it doesn’t change the fact that Jiyoung himself is still in his quiet world. He’s been trying to reach out to his Hyung, through subtle things like the ‘thanos’ nail paint or keeping his Tabi in the background of songs.
It became too much when Jiyoung looked at himself- properly looked at himself after a concert in LA. Gone was the jewellery, clothes, and makeup, and all was left was Jiyoung watching himself in the mirror, pink hair and all.
It kept replaying in his mind: “I said I would be back, and I’ll never let you go”, echoing into the void as if his words to seung-hyun go unheard, like always.
He picked up the phone, hovering over his Tabi’s contact. After all, he was only a 10 minute drive away in LA. He stayed there, hesitating until the morning.
That was that.
Jiyoung had to wait for Seung-hyun to come to him first, and with every little joke or smile in every new interview he gave for Squid Game season 3, they both felt it might be a little bit more plausible.
