Seungmin lets out a short laugh, drawing Minho’s attention to him. He’s looking a little too calculatingly at Jisung for his comfort. “Ignoring and Hyunjin are two words that have never been used together. Good luck with that.”
“Watch me,” Minho retorts with a dangerous glint in his eyes. “Once I’m done with him, Hwang Hyunjin will be more canceled than an idol after a dating scandal.”
The only response Minho gets is the sound of Jisung’s phone clattering to the ground.

Minho blinks sightlessly as his pants are discarded. He feels the weight of Chan crawling over him, the bed dipping on either side of his thighs where Chan’s knees sink into the mattress. The exquisite torment of Chan’s tongue laving over his throat, measured and methodical.
“Had I known I could quiet you so easily, I’d have done this much sooner,” Chan says, planting an elbow beside Minho’s head to lean over him. He rubs his other wrist over Minho’s chest, his neck, marking him further and watching ravenously as the black wells of Minho’s pupils spread wider and wider.
Minho parts his lips to speak. Closes them. He opens them to try again but manages only a rasping whine, teeming with need.
Their love bloomed long before Minho took Chan as one of his royal attendants—perhaps even years before they understood what love truly was. Summary
Maybe, if they just killed the first case of the zombie virus, none of this ever would’ve happened. That’s what Hyunjin’s father said, once, before Hyunjin never saw him again. He thought it was cruel then, before this world, in all of its rot and rage, broke his tender heart.
Now, he thinks it again and again. Maybe, if they just killed the first case, none of this ever would’ve happened.
He and his friends keep each other alive, but why? You can only run from a world so desperate to end for so long, especially if you don’t know where you’re going. What comes next? Is there a future out there still worth chasing? Still worth building? Maybe, somehow, there’s a cure. Maybe there is still a purpose for running, and fighting, and staying alive. Maybe they can find it.
Somehow, even through all of this pain, Hyunjin still believes. His hope is nothing but an ember in the ashes of this world, but all you need is a single spark.
