    Logically, she knew this was still likely a dream. In fact, she could sense her body asleep in her bed. She wouldn't call herself safe there—she wasn't sure she knew how that felt anymore—but it was a comfort, however small. She wouldn't want to feel unmoored in this strange nowhere place.

    She was suspended in a starry void, an endless swath of deepest purple and indigo speckled with crystal points, but with it the sense of a pervasive redness that she couldn't quite see. She had been here before. The same man was here, as he always had been, floating and wrapped in those horrible, too-familiar crimson tendrils.

     

    Or, Captain Puffy finds herself in a not-dream with a mysterious and admittedly handsome stranger. Sexy times ensue.
