Summary
“You’re lucky,” Rosalie murmured, low and close to her ear. “Some pets don’t get to be pretty. They get dunked. They get shaved. You, though… Mistress likes the ones she can dress up.”
She could feel her scalp tingling from the oils. Her fists balled under the water.
“You do want her to like you, don’t you?”
There were two things Rosalie knew for certain: one, no human could leave faerie alive; two, pets who played nicely received good food and beautiful clothes, and the ones who didn't... Well. She wasn't willing to try her luck. Not when the princess handpicked beautiful dresses for her to wear and gave Rosalie headpats while she sat by her feet.
Nobody warned her the prince had his own set of rules.
