Chapter Text
It’s not every day you expect to end up where Charlie Spring-Nelson found himself. With his husband in one hospital, attached to a million machines and a 50/50 chance of living or dying, and his 6 month old daughter in another hospital in ICU.
It’s not something you really expect when you wake up. But reader life has a funny habit of throwing things at you, that you don’t expect.
Loosing a job, loosing a loved one, surprise pregnancy of a fatal car crash. Life, as much as we try, it’s unreliable, unpredicted and always changing.
Charlie thought he knew that. A stint in in-patients for anorexia and OCD taught him that. But nothing could prepare him for this.
However this isn’t a sad story.
Well it is… for now… but really it’s a story of hope, rebuilding and love. One step at a time.
Right now Charlie has no idea how life will ever be the same, but I promise you this, in 10 years he will be happy again, his life will be full of light and love and life and the day his life fell apart will be that start of a beautiful new life.
He just has to hold on for now…
