Summary
The long awaited sequel to Metamorphosis Part 1. It’s been a year since Rick returned to Alexandria and unfortunately not much has changed but the concerns of his loved ones as Rick continues to be despondent and emotionally disjointed. Trapped in the room of experiences of his past torture and deeds, Rick is adamant not to open up to anyone, regardless of the lasting impact of his pent up trauma.
With Negan taunting them that only he can connect with Rick on a level that can offer the former leader some sort of control, the group grows concerned about not just Rick’s safety but of their own.
Determined to help Rick, Daryl seeks to uncover the layers of pain with the help of their family and allies in an effort to bring his friend back to himself and his family. Will they succeed? Or will Rick’s past prove too much for them to help him through? As time wears on, Daryl finds himself doubting not just whether or not they can help Rick but also about whether any part of his friend still exists beneath the trauma and its scars.
