Alex has been raised in the community of Haven his entire life, learning all he'll need to someday be a proper helpmate for a husband of his own. When his mother dies, however, leaving him and his stepfather Conrad behind, Alex is pushed into service earlier than anticipated. Young and grieving, he lacks many of the skills a proper helpmate requires to serve.
Namely, restraint.
But that's ok. Alex is lucky to have Conrad as his future husband, to guide him back towards God's light—by whatever means necessary.
