Summary
After coming up with no information about her brother in Mondstadt, Lumine arrives in Liyue, only to find herself in a compromising position—becoming the suspected perpetrator behind Morax’s death and ending up within the Fatui’s grasp. The harbinger she met proposes a contract that sounds all too good to be true, and with heavy desperation weighing on her shoulders and a clear lack of options available, she agrees to his terms.
What neither of them expected was how much this arrangement would impact them and their feelings.
Still, Lumine knows better than to give in, knows that she has a goal to fulfill, and especially, she knows a Fatui Harbinger can’t be trusted. Childe, meanwhile, tries to view it as a fleeting transaction—he already knows what he wants to do and how he’s going to do it. But clearly, he lacks the restraint that she can manage at all, and it might ruin him.
Even then, however… When he owes his loyalty to no one but the Tsaritsa, what choice does he have? He must see his plans through, even if it means trying to suppress himself and deceiving the Traveler. And perhaps in the end, he’ll be able to forget about his attraction towards her. Or it could backfire and overwhelm him more.
