    When it comes to his heats, Eddie has a ritual.
    For three quarters of the year, he takes heat suppressants to block them. No matter how good of a liar he is, people would figure out the truth pretty quickly if Eddie was taking a full week off every three months.
    But once a year, Eddie forces himself to use his sick leave and fully experience a heat. It serves as a reminder that he’ll never be the beta everyone else believes him to be, and he’ll certainly never be the alpha his parents prayed for.

    Eddie has lived his whole life with the knowledge that there's something wrong with him. Not only was he born an omega, but he's also never had the desire to be claimed by an alpha or even spend his heats with one.
    He's also spent years hiding the truth from everyone, his best friend included. But when he moves in with Buck and realizes his heat is coming soon, he can't hide the truth for much longer.
