Meet Me At Our Spot

Summary:

Side by side, they sat. Their bodies touching as the wind brushed against them, the breeze occasionally lifting Ochako’s hair. Her legs swinging to the rhythm of the music in the earphones they shared, an occasional hum escaping her lips. The only thing that mattered to them were each other. Izuku gazed at her softly, taking all of her in. She was so indescribably beautiful to him.

Work Text:

Most shifts were normally quiet. Next to no activity since the defeat of the villain mastermind— All for one. But since japan unveiled their brand-new amateur heroes that, villain activity has once again surged. Fighting villains was nothing new to the pair, though. It’s nothing compared to the horrors they went through as first years.

The two moved in together a month after declaring their romantic love to one another after a reunion dinner. It was also far more convenient for Izuku, as the UA campus was in closer proximity. After an exhausting week of slaving away as heroes, the two finally got a moment. Their own, special one.

They had long established a spot to de-stress and talk. They were free and alone, sitting in their hero uniforms. Just being in those moments together every week melted all their worries away. A slender bridge with raggedy rail. It was long abandoned but well kept.

There they sat, turning their gazes to the city that lay below. The bustling cars, the low hum of the traffic and the inaudible chatter from pedestrians.. Though that was all invisible to them.

The silence between them was comfortable and familar. Ochako tugged his cozy jacket around herself more as she lay on his shoulder, before peering up at him. “How was work?” She asked softly, tracing his palm with her fingers. Izuku didn’t respond. She watched his attention shift elsewhere. “Izuku.” “Huh?” His eyes widened and he returned her gaze. Sorry Ochako. I was thinking about something.” He glanced back at the city. She frowned, his answer not satisfying her. She tugged at his shirt.

“What are you thinking about?” She asked playfully, leaning a little closer. “Well, um.. you. And us.” He coughed before continuing. “I still can’t fathom that you’re here with me right now.. even after… all these years.” She giggled and leaned in more to give him a soft kiss on the lips. She smiled and placed her arms around his neck. “I hear this every week you know.” One hand held her by the waist while he fidgeted with the other nervously. “I know you do. I just keep thinking about how I wanna spend the rest of my life with you.” Ochako flinched while her face flushed. She smiled and rested her head against him, eagerly hoping he would continue. “You’re perfect. You’re literally everything I could’ve needed in life. I still can’t believe you’re here, Ochako.”

Her eyes darted across his face, desperately looking for a some sort of understanding. “You’re all I want” he confessed, shifting his body to the side and gently grasping her hands. “You’re all I need.” Ochakos heart started to race, her hands ever so slightly shaking in his. “Ochako.” He cleared his throat and watched her tremor as one hand fidgeted in his pocket. “You mean everything to me.” He blurted out, slowly losing his composure. “Ochako Uraraka..” he lowered himself to one knee, somehow still meeting her gaze.

“Will you marry me?” She smiled softly as tears welted up in her eyes. “Of course I will, Izuku.” Tears poured down her face as he scooped her cheek in his hands and gently pressed against her lips, as she cupped her hands in his hair. They softly placed their foreheads together as they embraced each other, the muffled music still booming from ochakos phone as the wind blew.
