Rumi doesn’t leave.
She doesn’t want to. Even if she had tried, it would probably have been impossible – Zoey and Mira have positively caged her in, and she doesn’t think there's a way of escaping. She’s basically buried underneath them.
She… she likes it.
The way they don’t seem to shy away from her, the way both of them seem to seek physical contact.
She doesn’t even think that anyone ever hugged her, before she met her team.
And now, she’s here, between her first and best friends – and Zoey keeps burying her head in Rumi’s shoulder, whenever she laughs too much; and Mira’s legs are pressed against her own, and the taller girl absentmindedly grabs her hand every now and then.She thinks she might like it - being held like this.
