Chapter Text
It was a tough night for the Cyan Team. Just recently, they had lost the most recent challenge and right now Tess was overlooking the fireplace with a concerned look in her eyes. She knew that she’d have to make a tough decision tonight when it came to voting.
Speaking of which, Aiden soon walked over to where Tess was standing with a friendly smile on his face but deep down, he was concerned about his fate tonight.
“Hey Tess.” Aiden said happily.
“Hi Aiden.” Tess replied with a calm smile. She had a pretty good idea of what he would be asking her but she felt it was best to be in peace while she could.
“You want to talk about tonight?” Aiden asked with a sheepish frown.
“Don’t worry. You’re not a target I have in mind.” Tess replied reassuringly.
“Any chance you’ll vote for Ellie? We gotta remember that the Villains’ Alliance is very real. If all five of them reach the merge, we could be looking at an early grave.” Aiden requested determinedly.
“I’m not sure, Aiden. Ellie is someone I know outside of the game. I don’t know if I can vote for her.” Tess admitted solemnly.
“I get the two of you are friends, but let’s be fair here. Ellie will choose money over friends when it comes to this game. She may care about you, but she’ll still hurt you. Remember what she did to Jake last season?” Aiden crossed his arms sternly yet you could hear the sympathy in his tone which made Tess look away unsurely but before she could respond, Ellie immediately walked over to the scene.
“Aiden, can you leave? Me and Tess need to talk.” Ellie said angrily to which Aiden turned towards her with an annoyed look.
“Um… can you try asking a little nicer?” Aiden asked condescendingly to which Ellie rolled her eyes.
“Whatever. Can you please leave?” Ellie asked harshly and while Aiden wasn’t intimidated, he still walked off, annoyed with how Ellie was acting.
Tess cringed at the hostility of the interaction that she just had to witness but she didn’t get a chance to say anything about it before Ellie spoke up.
“Glad I found you because I needed to talk to you about the vote. We need to vote for Aiden, he’s still gunning for me and I doubt Gabby wants Tom gone so he’s our best option.” Ellie spoke sharply which made Tess widen her eyes before they narrowed at how Ellie was speaking.
“Did you even talk to Gabby today about the Villains’ Alliance?” Tess asked in annoyance to which Ellie was surprised by Tess’ harsh tone and nervous to answer given she knew the answer wouldn’t satisfy the artist.
“Uh… that’s not relevant to the topic.” Ellie said nervously.
“I’ll take that as a no. Ellie, you need to talk to Gabby about this. What did you even talk to her about the last time you two spoke?” Tess crossed her arms sternly.
“Uh… just that we needed to vote for Aiden? She said she wanted to show me something but I needed to talk to you since there were only a few minutes left until elimination.” Ellie said sheepishly.
“Ellie…” Tess sighed before Ellie interrupted.
“Hey, can you blame me? You haven’t given me much reason to count on your vote. Remember the Lake situation?” Ellie asked defensively.
“Yeah, I remember. I also remember you causing a big scene back at that ceremony and making me choose between you two despite knowing me and Lake are friends.” Tess argued coldly which made Ellie freeze up at Tess’ argument and once she stayed silent, Tess sighed and put a hand on Ellie’s shoulder.
“Look Ellie, if it’ll help you talk to Gabby, I’ll vote for Aiden tonight but you really need to start doing more to reassure Gabby that you two are okay, not just for the game but for your relationship too. I know what she wanted to show you today, and trust me, you likely really hurt her by brushing her off.” Tess said softly before walking off into the distance, leaving Ellie by herself as she looked off to the side guiltily.
We then cut to nighttime as Cyan Team was seen sitting at the campfire in front of Kristal as she smirked at them for their loss.
“Welcome back to elimination. Hope the space jet lag is wearing off. At least one of you will get to sleep it off in a motel.” Kristal smirked before gesturing to the voting booth, “Let’s vote and see who that’ll be.”
Voting: Ellie
Ellie wrote down her vote with a concerned look.
Voting: Aiden
Aiden put his vote in the urn and looked around the area skeptically.
Voting: Gabby
Gabby put her vote in the urn nervously.
Voting: Tom
Tom looked skeptical as he made his vote.
Voting: Tess
Tess seemed really conflicted as she made her vote but before we saw her make her vote, the confessional ended.
Voting Ends
We then cut back to Kristal holding the urn in her hands with a smirk as she spoke.
“Once the votes are read, the decision is final. The person voted out must leave immediately.” Kristal said happily as Ellie, Tom, Gabby, and Aiden all looked nervous at the results while Tess looked around with concern.
“First vote… Ellie.”
Ellie looked concerned when hearing about this vote.
“Aiden.”
Aiden frowned worriedly after hearing his name.
“Ellie.”
Ellie narrowed her eyes at the boys.
“Aiden. There are two votes Aiden, two votes Ellie, one vote left.” Kristal narrated as Ellie looked concerned, Aiden and Tom glared at Ellie, and Gabby and Tess looked at each other with worry.
“Seventh person voted out of Disventure Camp All Stars…” Kristal began dragging out the tension before revealing the last vote, “Aiden.”
“What?!” Aiden asked incredulously before turning towards Tess angrily, “Tess, are you serious?! You said I wasn’t one of your targets!”
Tess looked away guiltily but before she could say anything, Ellie stood up furiously to face Aiden.
“Back off, I’m the one who told her to vote for you! She likes everyone on this team so this decision would’ve been hard for her regardless.” Ellie snapped at the e-boy much to the surprise of Gabby, Tess, and Aiden but Tom scoffed.
“You sure you didn’t guilt trip her into it?” Tom raised an eyebrow in annoyance but before Ellie could argue, Tess put an arm on her shoulder and spoke.
“No, I made my own choice. I’m sorry Aiden, I really wanted to keep you in but… I needed to do what was for the best.” Tess sighed solemnly as she faced Aiden.
Aiden looked surprised at this information and mentally noted on how Tess didn’t mention voting him was the best for her game but once he took a look at Ellie, he understood.
“It’s fine, I’ll get over it eventually. I hope everything works out for you.” Aiden said understandingly which made Tess smile.
“C’mon Aiden, I’ll walk you out.” Tom told his friend happily.
We then cut to Tom and Aiden at the bus stop as Tom sighs in disappointment.
“I’m sorry. None of this would be happening if I just saved Lake, you’d still be here right now.” Tom said solemnly.
“Hey, no hard feelings, I get it.” Aiden reassured the officer, “And hey, I may not have won but I do get to see Lake and James again.”
“Heh, getting to see your boyfriend sounds great.” Tom chuckled halfheartedly to which Aiden noticed and raised an eyebrow at.
“Tom, you don’t have a boyfriend, do you?” Aiden asked knowingly much to Tom’s surprise.
“Was I that obvious?” Tom asked sheepishly.
“Let’s just say it’s good you’re a cop and not an actor.” Aiden smirked before asking, “You still have feelings for Jake?”
“I don’t think I ever stopped. But… I lied to him again. I don’t know how I can salvage it this time.” Tom said miserably which Aiden looked sympathetic towards.
“You know I’m not the biggest fan of Jake but not even he deserves to be lied to. Just talk to him, no matter how it goes, at least you’ll have closure.” Aiden advised Tom.
“Well… if you say so. Catch ya later Aiden, and… thanks.” Tom smiled gratefully at Aiden.
The two of them soon hugged as the Bus Of Losers soon arrives to pick Aiden up. The two soon release each other so that Aiden could go in the bus.
Once the bus left, Tom soon sighs at the realization of how alone he truly is.
Confessional: Tom
“Well… I’m fucked.” Tom said solemnly.
Confessional Ends
We then cut to Gabby, in her pajamas, near the lake by herself with a solemn look on her face before she felt a tap on her back.
She looked up to see that Ellie was right behind her with a sheepish smile much to her shock.
“Ellie… it’s so late though?” Gabby said in surprise.
“I could say the same to you.” Ellie said jokingly before smiling nervously, “Can I sit here?”
Gabby smiled and nodded, gesturing for Ellie to sit with her before Ellie spoke up again.
“So you wanted to show me something, right? It’s later, so… can I see it?” Ellie asked softly.
“Of course!” Gabby said happily before taking the stuffed bunny out of her pocket, “This is something I won during the challenge. His name is Mr Whiskers!”
“Aw, so this is what you wanted to show me? Thanks, I love him.” Ellie said as she accepted the plush bunny before cupping Gabby’s cheek softly, “Well… I love something else more, though.”
Ellie soon pulled Gabby in for a kiss which she reciprocated as the camera zoomed out and panned up to the full moon.
