Loto knew her brain worked differently than the other people of Motunui. It often made her feel a bit isolated from them.
It's not that people were generally outright mean to her, of course. With such a tight-knit community, bullying wasn't really a thing.
But she'd often be excluded from things and get weird looks.
Moana never treated her like an outcast, though. No, Moana had always accepted her for who she was, quirks and all.
It's nice to have a real friend.
